Join The Black Sports Ministry Network at The Future of Sports Chaplaincy 2026!

The Black Sports Ministry Network (BSMN) invites you to beautiful Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 4:00PM, for our annual Future of Sports Chaplaincy event, themed “Bridging Generations of Care in Athletics.”

This year, we are honored to recognize Pastor Robert “Bob” Gray, longtime chaplain of the Boston Celtics, as our 2025 – 2026 Chaplain of the Year in celebration of his remarkable 26 years of faithful ministry in professional sports. We will also honor Arissa Troy, recipient of the Emerging Sports Chaplain Award, for her ministry at Boston College High School, and Zsa Zsa Lawson, Director of Basketball Operations for Harvard Women’s Basketball, with our Distinguished Leadership in Athletic Administration Award.

Come enjoy a meaningful day trip to Martha’s Vineyard as you learn about the growing field of sports chaplaincy. Hear from chaplains serving at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, and engage in conversations about the future of spiritual care in athletics.

The Black Sports Ministry Network’s mission is to develop ethical leaders in sports at the intersection of sports, spirituality, and social justice.

Join us for a day of learning, inspiration, fellowship, and celebration—held during the same weekend as the African American Film Festival and African American Book Festival. This event is free and open to all spiritual and social identities.

The Upward Spiral Concert: Caleb McCoy and Ethan McCoy

You are invited to join Ethan and Caleb McCoy for a night of brotherhood and lively hip hop music. Come hear music from their solo albums, as well as their new collaborative music. These talented siblings promise to bring a time of good inspirational music when people need it most!

You are invited to a summer concert that I am headlining and hosting with my brother! Got questions…I’ve got answers.

Who’s performing?

This is a celebration of Caleb & Ethan McCoy’s debut album, UPWARD SPIRAL. While I (Caleb) have been making music for a while, this is the first time I have released a joint project with my brother. And to round out the family dynamic, my parents, Bil and Paulea will also be performing!

In addition, my friend Kentel Weaver, AKA Stonecatcher, a restorative justice advocate, will be releasing his Sophomore project, The Chosen Don’t Get To Choose.

When and where is the concert?

June 26th @ 6pm at the Burren in Somerville

Who gon’ be there?

This show is set up to be a beautifully diverse crowd. There will be folks from the faith community, the restorative justice community, Boston natives that support local music, and everything in between. Oh… and you will be there

Is it family friendly?

This is an all ages event. The content will be age appropriate and the atmosphere will be safe. However, it is at a restaurant/bar and I would not recommend bringing very young children.

How Is Parking/Transportation?

There is street parking around the venue. Also, The Burren is just steps away from the Davis Square red line T Station.

How Do I Get Tickets?

Patriots Faith Night – May 19

We are excited to invite you to a special evening of faith, fellowship, and footballat Bethel AME Church!

Join us on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 6:30 PM for Patriots Faith Night, featuring Hunter Henry, Marcellas Dial, Jaylinn Hawkins, and others. This event will be a powerful time of inspiration, testimonies, and connection with players who embrace their faith both on and off the field.
