Abraham and Isaac: A Live Musical Performance and Discussion Event

Award-winning composer Delvyn Case conducts a live performance of his dramatic new solo cantata based on the sacrifice of Isaac, followed by an interfaith panel discussion.

Originally presented by the Studio for Faith, Art, and History at Gordon College, this provocative piece explores this challenging Biblical story by highlighting how the thread of sacrificial violence tragically binds together God, Abraham, and Isaac–and, through its historical legacy–Christians and Jews as well.  Free and open to all.

More information may be found here.

Reflecting and Reimagining: An Evening of Storytelling, Story-listening & Cultivating Our Prophetic Imagination

Whether you are a long time friend of BFJN, have been with us on our year-long journey with housing justice or are new to us and this work, this evening is for you. We’ll hear powerful stories, share what we’ve learned, and explore how our faith calls us to confront injustice and build a world where everyone can thrive.

This event also serves as a critical fundraiser to sustain our work and ensure we can continue to serve vulnerable communities in meaningful ways and call and equip Christians to serve, learn and advocate in pursuit of a more just world. Your presence and contribution will help us continue and expand this vital mission.  We look forward to sharing this time of reflection and reimagination with you!

Awake Boston- with Sean McDowell

Awake Boston is  a two-night event designed to mobilize Christians toward awakening and renewal.

On October 24, 2025 at 6:00 PM Dr. Sean McDowell with lead a Master Class titled “If God, Why Evil”

The problem of evil and suffering is undoubtedly one of the greatest challenges raised against God. Christians must respond empathetically, but also with truth. Sean begins this session by providing a helpful road map for personally helping people who are suffering. He then tackles the intellectual challenge of evil, showing that the existence of evil itself is actually a positive proof for the existence of God, and that the so-called “problem of evil” does not pose a trenchant problem for the Christian faith.

An “Open Mic” Q&A time with Sean will immediately follow his presentation.
