Are you ready to experience a transformational journey that could change your life? Join us to the Fully Alive retreat, a dynamic spiritual retreat hosted by the Shalom Catholic Community in Cambridge.

What is Fully Alive?

Fully Alive is a Life in the Spirit Seminar designed to guide you into a deeper connection with the love of God—a love that forgives, heals, fills, and transforms. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit and experience a life enriched by divine love.

Event Highlights:

  • Praise and Worship: Engage in uplifting moments of spiritual renewal.
  • Prayer and Reflection: Receive personal prayer from dedicated missionaries.
  • Community and Connection: Share experiences and build friendships during interactive sessions and social hangouts.
  • Inspirational Talks: Discover powerful insights on these topics listed below:
  1. How to satisfy your heart’s desires:  The world, and even our own past, has given us enough reasons to believe that we’re unworthy of love: to be loved and to love. Discover how God is crazy in love with you and how you can live this truth after this weekend. 
  2. The ultimate choice: We all have our own story. It has shaped the way we think, perceive, act and love. Unknowingly, we’re held captive by sorrows and wounds of the past that bring fear to accepting healing and change. This will be an opportunity for you to make the choice to allow Jesus to come in and restore light into your life, giving meaning and purpose for your life.
  3. Unshakable joy: God knows how difficult it is for us to understand His immense love and care for us when we’re constantly at war with ourselves and the voices of the world. Learn about His promise to you and the finding of true joy and happiness after every fight.
  4. Just the beginning: A weekend together is just the beginning of a new journey, a new time! Explore ways you can continuously grow in faith, in your relationship with Jesus, and how to live it in community after this retreat!

  • Dates: November 22 – 24, 2024 (Friday – Saturday)
  • Location: 400 Cardinal Medeiros Avenue, Cambridge, MA
  • Hosted by: Shalom Catholic Community – Boston Mission
  • Cost: $10 (does not include meals) Meals will be available for purchase. Coffee and snacks will be provided at no charge.

ENGAGE: Volunteer and Staff Opportunities with the Navigators in Boston

ENGAGE is a gathering for individuals interested in disciple-making who would like to learn about volunteer and staff options with the Navigators in Boston and New England.  The vision and overview of the Navigator will be featured as well as breakout sessions on  1.) campus ministry 2.) workplace ministry  3.) prison ministry.  There will be also be lunch discussions on Navigator staff options and global missions.

The Navigators (www.navigators.org) is an inter-denominational ministry that shares the gospel of Jesus Christ and helps others grow in Him through Life-to-Life® discipleship. Navigators do this on college campuses, military bases, in workplaces, inner cities, local communities, and hard-to-reach places all over the world.

The Gospel according to Jesus, Queen of Heaven

What would happen if Jesus came back to earth right now as a trans woman? Join Queen Jesus for a stunning one woman play, a revolutionary queer ritual for these life changing times. Jo Clifford is an award-winning playwright, translator, poet and performer who travels to us from Scotland to share her message of compassion and love. Jo has written more than 100 plays, many them performed all over the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, for over 50 years. The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven, first performed in 2009, has been translated into 7 languages and performed in 9 countries worldwide. This tour is the first time Jo has performed as Queen Jesus in the US, with performances in Northampton, Boston and Provincetown.

On Sunday June 16th at 5PM, in celebration of Pride Month, Edinburgh-based, award winning trans playwright, Jo Clifford will perform her stunning one-woman show The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven at The Cathedral Church of St Paul at 138 Tremont St Boston. Doors open at 4:30PM; a suggested $10 donation can be given at the door. A reception in the church parlor to follow.

INVASION Christmas Celebration

Every year we have the distinct pleasure of celebrating the day that the eternal word put on flesh, and invaded our fallen world with the light of salvation (John 1:14) during this holiday season. Join us as we celebrate, and rejoice in the Lord together through song, dance, poetry, rap, and theater. Youth and young adult ministries from different churches around greater Boston will gather together, worship together, and minister to one another through a unique blend of performance arts.

We have the one and only show stopping host, Host Valcin! And we also have two of Boston’s biggest Christian Hip Hop artists, Caleb McCoy and Disciple both blessing the stage.

Come for the show and stay for the “After Glow”! Enjoy some light refreshments, music, and fellowship with your family in Christ from different churches and denominations following the show.

“Death to Life” Backyard Concert

UniteBoston is partnering with local Christian artists for a backyard concert in Dorchester! Featured artists include sytE, Chantel P. Walls and Freddrick Hallelujah, with Shay Mae’ Lee, Unnoticed Potential and Vincent Tesoro who will be bringing sounds of Rhythm & Praise, Christian Hip-Hop and Punk Rock. The theme is “Death to Life,” and participants will be given the opportunity to share how God has taken them on a journey from death to life.
