Join the Boston People’s Reparation Commission for a prayer vigil to commemorate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday. At dusk, on January 15 2025, at Emmanuel Church in the City of Boston, we will stand in witness to justice “for the least of these.” Join us!
German Christmas Service
Hi everyone,
In two weeks we are celebrating Christmas, and Faith Lutheran Church in Cambridge will once again hold our annual Christmas service in German!
Since our own building sadly burned down a year and a half ago we cannot worship there yet, but one of our sister congregations, the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Woburn, generously offered us their building this year, so we will meet at 60 Forest Park Road in Woburn, MA, at 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve for our family service in German.
You are all invited to celebrate this service with us, and please also invite anyone you know who is from the German-speaking parts of the world, would like to practice their German, or is simply interested in German-language traditions! There is plenty of parking and seating, the building is wheelchair/stroller accessible, and the service is child-friendly and will take about an hour, so we will be done with plenty of time until dinner.
Please contact us with any questions: info@faithcambridge.org, and see you on Christmas Eve!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Mass
Please join us at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, for a festive Christmas Eve! We’ll have lots of carols, special music, hot apple cider, and fellowship. It’s the perfect way to start your celebrations of Christmas Day. All are welcome!
Advent Service in German
Hi friends,
Faith Lutheran Church in Cambridge is having an Advent service in German next week – Sunday, December 1, at 12:00 p.m. (noon)! Advent hymns, readings, and children’s sermon in German, and we’ll have an Advent wreath, and coffee hour after. Come join us and get into the spirit of the season with us!
Sankt-Martins-Umzug
This Saturday, November 9th, at 4:00 p.m. in Danehy Park, Cambridge, we will have a lantern parade to celebrate St. Martin’s Day! Bring lanterns or candles, and come see what this German tradition is all about. We will sing German songs, experience the story of St. Martin, and enjoy the colorful lights on our short walk through Danehy Park; we should be done by 6:00/6:30 p.m. (just in time for dinner). The weather is supposed to be cool but nice, so come join us! Some snacks traditional to St. Martin’s Day will be available for purchase but the event itself is free; it is also geared toward children, so bring your families!
Feel free to email us with questions: info@faithcambridge.org, and see you there!
