Christmas Lessons & Carols

Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church‘s Christmas Lessons & Carols (not the same as Advent Lessons Carols) will please serious music lovers!

Some of the music sung by our choir of both adults and children, with instrumental accompaniment: John Rutter’s “Christ is the Morning Star”; Hubert Parry’s “Welcome, Yule!”; James MacMillan’s “O Radiant Dawn”; Otto Goldschmidt’s “A Tender Shoot”; William Billings’ “A Virgin Unspotted”; Francis Poulenc’s “Hodie Christus Natus Est”; Peter Warlock’s “Bethlehem Down”; John Carter’s “A Rejoicing”; and John Gardner’s “A Gallery Carol”.

The congregation will join in singing hymns accompanied by brass and organ. The nine Scripture lessons will be read by parishioners and clergy. All are welcome to join the festive reception which follows!

Enharmonic Choir Holiday Concert

Kingdom Resources for Christ (KRC) cordially invites you to an evening of live classical holiday music performed by the Enharmonic Choir of Greater Boston.

Held (Saturday December 9th, 4pm) at the Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston in Lexington, MA.

This free live concert is performed by the Enharmonic Choir, which showcases professional classical vocals and instrumentals for all to enjoy. We pray that this worship through music will raise the spirits of all who attend!

Kingdom Resources for Christ (KRC) hopes that you, your friends and family will join us for this evening of musical enjoyment. The concert is free to all. An intermission offering will be taken up to support the continuing ministries of KRC as we labor to build a more vibrant Kingdom together.

Faure’s Requiem

“Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine” (“Grant them eternal rest, O Lord”). So begins a sung Requiem Service which honors those who have died in the past year.

Come with your recently lost family members and friends in mind, or the dying innocents throughout the world. Come to receive Christ’s rest as you are comforted by the musical beauty of this Requiem by the famous French composer, Gabriel Faure.

Hear the choir and instrumental ensemble at Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, 188 Elliott Street, Danvers (Rt. 62, off Rt. 128) on Sunday, November 5, at 5 pm.

The service will be followed by the Opening Reception of the Portrait Photograph Exhibit, “Made in His Image”.
