Here at UniteBoston, we love to see Christians come together to worship and pray.
We coordinate two large initiatives each year to celebrate the incredible diversity present within Christian churches in Boston and gather God’s people to worship and pray:
- Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (January 18 to 25)
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an annual season where Christians throughout the world are praying for the unity among Christ’s followers. Here in Boston, we have coordinated nightly gatherings across churches for worship, prayer, and fellowship during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. People who attend from night to night will experience the Church in Boston in her diverse array of ethnicities, traditions, and geography. We encourage you to take part in the evening gatherings to learn from the various expressions of Christian worship present within the body of Christ in Boston.
Check out these photos and stories from the 2017 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and save the date for the upcoming Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which will take place from January 18 to 25!
We also host a Holy Week Pilgrimage as an opportunity to join together with other Christians throughout Boston to set aside time to remember the significance of Christ’s life, death and resurrection and attend various worship services together during Holy Week.
2. Summer Worship Night
In August 2017, UniteBoston hosted a worship night in Boston Common with the theme of “Peace for the City.” Click here to view photos and read stories from this event. In August 2018, we held a second worship night that was attended by over 1,000 people, and in 2019 our worship event was attended by 2,000 people!
