5:30 pm – Holy Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes, hymns and anthems. The Rt. Rev. Julia E. Whitworth, Bishop of the Diocese of MA, presider and preacher.

Information Meeting and Training Session – Know Your Rights

The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Advancement (MOIA) invites you to a virtual information meeting this Tuesday, January 28th at 2pm regarding recent questions and concerns about Boston’s diverse immigrant community. This meeting is intended to provide important information and best practices and answer any questions for those who have raised them.

Faith-Based MOIA Information Meeting RSVP

Following that meeting, Massachusetts religious leaders are encouraged to attend a “Know Your Rights” online training on Tuesday January 28, 2025 from 3:30pm-4:30pm, presented by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and the Office of Immigrants and Refugees, hosted by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston and the Massachusetts Council of Churches. You must register to attend this training. “Know Your Rights for Massachusetts Religious Leaders” will be recorded. This session will be recorded, and your attendance will be anonymous. If you cannot attend, please sign up to receive a recording.

Locked in Solidarity Conference

Highrock Beyond Bars invites you to gather with and on behalf of those affected by incarceration to encourage practitioners, engage with stories of change, and be equipped in the pursuit of justice, redemption, and restoration.

This year’s conference will focus on being Locked in Solidarity with those who are currently and formerly incarcerated, particularly in relation to their experiences of trauma before, during and after incarceration and their journeys of healing. The conference will feature leaders with lived experience of incarceration and long-time experience working directly with returning citizens and people who are currently incarcerated. Among others, we’ll be hearing from:

  1. Joy Stevens: Trauma Healing Trainer of Facilitators in jails and prisons domestically and internationally
  2. Milton Jones (Boston’s Louis Brown Peace Institute)
  3. TJ Weaver (Chaplain at Massachusetts Correctional Institute – Shirley)
  4. Sophea Sou-Krauss (Thrive Communities)
  5. Todd Fournier (Highrock Church)
  6. Chris Bolder, Bolder Faith LLC
  7. Jua Robinson, Boston Collaborative

All conference participants are invited to an optional lunch following the morning’s programming.

Investiture of Presiding Bishop of Episcopal Church: Watch Party

Please join us at The Cathedral Church of St. Paul for a Watch Party for viewing Sean Rowe’s Investiture as the next Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church.

Doors will open at 9:30 am for a light breakfast and tuning in to the “Role Call of the Dioceses,” continuing with the Investiture service at 11:00 am. We will celebrate Holy Eucharist on site concurrently with those gathered in the chapel at the Episcopal Church Center in New York City.
