TABCOM Annual Gathering

The TABCOM Annual Gathering will be held May 1–2, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Worcester, 111 Park Ave, Worcester, MA 01609.

This year’s theme is “Building Bridges.”

Grounded in Ephesians 2:19–22, the 2026 TABCOM Annual Gathering invites us to reflect on our shared identity as members of God’s household. We are reminded that we are no longer strangers, but one body in Christ—built together with Christ as our cornerstone.

In a time when divisions can feel strong, this gathering calls us to unity, reconciliation, and deeper connection across cultures, generations, and communities. Together, we will explore what it means to truly live as a people who build bridges—within our churches and beyond.

We are honored to welcome UniteBoston’s own Rev. Kelly Fassett as our plenary speaker, Rev. Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd as this year’s keynote preacher, and Rev. Dr. Mary Day Hamel who will be our Friday night preacher.

Hosted by the First Baptist Church in Worcester, the Annual Gathering will include inspiring worship, meaningful teaching, and opportunities for fellowship and connection.

We Need Your Help! We are looking for volunteers to join us at the UniteBoston table from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. You’ll help us connect with pastors and listen for how God is stirring interest in ministries of reconciliation and bridge-building.

Volunteer Perks:

  • Complimentary Conference Ticket: If you volunteer, we’ll comp your registration fee!
  • Networking: Connect with local pastors and Christian leaders from across the state.
  • Impact: Be part of the conversation on how we can build bridges across our churches and communities.

We will also celebrate church anniversaries, recognize ordination milestones, and give thanks for the shared ministry we hold together as American Baptists in Massachusetts.

Come and be part of what God is building—one house, many nations, united in Christ.

Register for the Conference Here

To volunteer, reach out to Rev. Kelly at kelly@uniteboston.com

Thank you!

Vulnerability & Cruciformity: A Resurrection Retreat

We live in a hurried, polarized, and fearful time. Our natural instinct is to react with hardness, protection, and isolation. Yet, both modern psychology and sound Christian theology beckon us to do the opposite: live life with arms wide open. As Brené Brown would say, “Live vulnerably.” Let your life be cruciform: taking the very shape of Jesus’ own life and even his cross and resurrection.

Join Dr. Elizabeth Woodard, Ph.D., Catholic theologian and spiritual director, for a post-Easter Day Apart retreat that will focus on how to live with open hearts during a time such as this. We will investigate vulnerability as it is presented in the work of psychological researcher Dr. Brene Brown, and we will investigate cruciformity as it is presented in the Christian theological tradition. These two, very different scholastic approaches seem to call us to quite similar ends.

Discover the joy of the Easter season at Rolling Ridge.
