Advent Conspiracy Book Group

As we enter the busy holiday season BFJN is gathering together to read the Advent Conspiracy. This amazing book calls Jesus followers to substitute compassion for consumption and invites us to cultivate countercultural practices. Together we will consider these practices, encourage one another and seek to center Jesus and his call on our lives this Christmas. Join us! We will send the first 20 participants a free copy of the Advent Conspiracy book and we will meet together via Zoom 11/30 to talk through the first half of the book and then again in person (Zoom available for those unable to attend) on 12/14 to finish the discussion and celebrate Advent together!

Uncomfortable Conversations: Let’s Talk About Mass Incarceration

Join the Boston Faith & Justice Network this Wednesday night.

We are in the middle of our series on Mass Incarceration and are looking forward to focusing on Reentry with this panel. Our panelists, with their expertise and experience, will help us consider the many barriers returning citizens face when they return to their communities after a period of incarceration. Learn with us and find ways you can engage with this issue which affects so many individuals, families and communities.

Freedom Concert 2022!

This event will take place Saturday, April 9th, 6:45 pm at Christ the King Presbyterian Church in Cambridge. 
This is a night of worship, live music, a survivor’s time to share her story, and fellowship. This is a fundraiser for Route One Ministry, a local anti-trafficking non-profit. We serve Jesus by serving women sexually exploited and equipping the church. In the past, the Freedom Concert has been essential to impact more than 200 people with the awareness of trafficking in the United States, introduce attendees to the work of Route One, equip leaders to take action and provide a beautiful platform for a survivor to share her story.

Lazarus at the Gate small group

Join us for a seven-week online small group study that challenges participants to understand the Biblical foundation for generosity, simple living and just consumption. We will examine scripture, consider how we are to live in response to the challenges of the suffering and injustice of our world, share how we use our own resources and encourage one another as we respond in community.
