Information and Opportunities for Youth and Teen Trauma Healing

 

Overview

Online session to learn more about resources available from the American Bible Society to help youth and teens heal from wounds of the heart.

Details: Trauma knows no boundaries of nationality, gender, age, social class, or race. We all live in a fallen world and groan inwardly from the painful consequences of the fall.  Children and teens are very vulnerable and deserve special attention and healing.  The The Church is uniquely called to this mission field – it provides a theology for suffering, a community bound together in love, access to a God who is willing to hear our honest laments, and a Savior who knows what unjust suffering feels like and whose death on the cross heals the broken-hearted and forgives their sins.

This informational session will include:

  • An overview of the Trauma Healing program.
  • The various resources available from the American Bible Society specific for teens and youth.
  • Time to determine the need and response for your church, organization, or group.
  • Information about the Children’s Trauma Healing Facilitator training in August and next steps for the Teen programs available.

Who should attend this Information Session?

This meeting is for people who want to know more about the material available to help youth and teens process past heart wounds, the Trauma Healing Institute’s approach to trauma healing, and how to move forward in helping our younger generations heal from trauma.

Important Information:

  • Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 10 at noon.
  • Attending the entire session is highly recommended and appreciated.
  • This session will take place on Zoom; a link will be sent to you in an introductory email by Monday August 10th.

Strengthening Our Network of Care: BIRD Provider Gathering

Boston’s immigrant-facing providers work tirelessly on the front lines every day. We’re inviting frontline immigrant-serving organization leaders, pastors and advocates to a Provider Meet & Greet on August 28 at 12:00 PM at Awaken City Church.

Alongside lunch and fellowship, we will showcase upcoming enhancements to the Boston Immigrant Resource Dashboard. The real power of BIRD lies in its real-time accuracy, and the upgrade was redesigned with you in mind to make staying connected effortless. Here is what to expect:

Acamps 2026: A 4-Day Adventure of Faith, Friendship & Community

Acamps 2026 is a four-day Catholic festival and glamping experience for young adults, bringing together participants from Boston, New York, Orlando, Toronto, and beyond for an unforgettable weekend of adventure, authentic friendships, worship, and a deeper encounter with Christ.

From August 20–23, we’ll gather at Camp Schodack in Nassau, New York, surrounded by nature and an incredible range of outdoor activities. Your registration includes lodging, meals, sports tournaments, games, music, prayer, Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, inspiring talks, and plenty of time to build meaningful friendships with other young adults seeking to grow in faith.

Whether you’re new to Boston, searching for Christian community, or simply longing to reconnect with God, Acamps is a place where you can step away from your routine, discover authentic relationships, and experience the joy of following Christ alongside hundreds of other young adults.

Transportation from the Boston area will be organized through carpools, making it easy to travel together and begin building community before the event even starts.

Cost: $300 (includes lodging, meals, and all programmed activities; transportation not included)
