Get ready for the Newton Juneteenth Celebration 2023!

Join us on Monday, June 19th, 2023 at 12:00 PM (EDT) at the Hyde Center located at 90 Lincoln Street, Newton, for an exciting outdoor event.

Our event will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, and a variety of family-friendly activities. We’re thrilled to bring the community together to celebrate our national holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Americans.

We invite both residents and members from neighboring communities to come together to respect, honor, and celebrate diverse cultures through food, music, dance, and to support local Black-owned businesses.

Bring a picnic or check out the food trucks by Gourmet Kreyol and Tipping Cow ice cream.

Groove to DJ Firestarta or indulge in some retail therapy while your kids enjoy face painting, have fun with Story Starters, or engage in many other fun activities.

This event will also showcase the variety of ways our community promotes equity for residents and students of color. Tickets are not needed; feel free to just show up!
