The Prophet Project

The Prophet Project – a play in one act

Following the storyline of Hosea and Gomer, and using only the words of the ancient Hebrew prophets, The Prophet Project is a visceral, beautiful retelling of God’s relentless love for humanity. Challenging and encouraging, disturbing and inspiring, it is an unique opportunity to grow in one’s own faith, as well as to invite non-Christian lovers of art, and to help Jewish friends see echoes of Christ in Scripture.
The 2013 production was awarded with the Making a Difference in Christian Service Award and the Eldin Villafañe Award for High Distinction in Christian Service, both from Gordon Conwell’s Boston Campus. Still Small is now reviving the production with a new cast, additional music, and updated design.
All performances will be followed by an optional talkback in which the audience can ask questions and have an informal discussion with the cast and creative team.

August 9, 10, 16, & 17

7 pm shows each night, additional 3 pm matinee on Saturdays.

Invasion 2018

2000 years ago the Word, our Creator, put on flesh to INVADE our fallen world in the form of a baby. 33 years later as a full grown man, he gave His life on a Roman cross to bring salvation to anyone who would believe.

We exist to glorify our creator with every aspect of our being. Join us as we come together to celebrate our creator’s D-Day this Christmas.

From 7-10 PM we will have dance ministries, youth choirs, spoken word, a little Christian Hip Hop and a message on John 1:14.

Come for the show and stay for the After Glow! DJ Mott will be spinning the best of Christian Hip Hop and Reggae on the 1’s and 2’s until midnight.

Boston’s Healthcare Professionals Share Stories of God at Work

Did you know that Boston has a Healthcare Fellowship, which provides fellowship, education and mentorship for people in diverse medical fields?  Their vision is to reunite faith and healthcare, in line with God’s intention of bringing holistic healing to the whole world.

They host a monthly dinner, and in September, their gathering highlighted stories about how people had seen God at work at their work. Click on the link below to hear more from one pharmacist, two researchers and a doctor about how their faith in Jesus impacted their work!

Dr. Tracy Balboni speaking to around 80 people at the hall in Harvard Medical School.

The Boston Healthcare Fellowship is a fellowship for people training in diverse fields such as clinical medicine, public health, nursing, research, dentistry, and physical therapy. For more information about the Boston Healthcare Fellowship, check out their website, and be sure to sign up for their monthly newsletter for updates on events.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an international initiative where Christians worldwide are reminded of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (John 17:21). Locally, UniteBoston coordinates evening collaborative gatherings of fellowship, prayer and worship from January 18-25 annually.

This Year’s Theme: In 2025, Christians mark the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council at Nicaea, where key doctrinal disputes about the Trinity and the nature of Christ were resolved, resulting in the Nicene Creed—a foundational statement of Christian faith and unity. The Nicene Creed is the Christian “symbol” of agreed doctrine and also the statement of faith for UniteBoston. This commemoration invites Christians to celebrate what unites them through the Creed while reflecting on the divisions that still persist today.

Mark Your Calendars – You are invited to mark your calendars and plan to attend the evening gatherings! In this time of Epiphany, we encourage you to receive the manifestation of Jesus Christ through those of different denominations, races and cultures. Let’s make the most of these opportunities in order to truly be the family of God and serve as the body of Christ in the world. Let’s also pray with our feet – consider how our beliefs can come together in common action and witness.

Spread the Word – We also appreciate help spreading the word to people in your congregation, family, friends, and neighbors. A personal invitation goes a long way.

Calling to mind our common commitment to ‘love thy neighbor,’ may the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, January 18-25, 2025 be full of moments of conversion of heart through our encounters, so that “all may be one.”

Click above to watch a reflection on the significance of the Nicene Creed from Dr. Elizabeth M. Woodard, Catholic theologian, musician, author, speaker, spiritual director, and ecumenist. She is a member of our Christian unity cohort and considers her vocation as bringing people to God and to each other.
