The Friday Cafe at First Church in Cambridge is re-opening for the season on October 20th, and we are now welcoming new and returning volunteers! Every week at the Friday Cafe, we offer a safe and warm space for both the housed and homeless community of Cambridge and Boston, and we serve a hearty meal (soups, salads, both vegetarian and meaty entrees, sides, sandwiches, beverages, and desserts), distribute clothes and toiletries, and allow for space and time for our guests to warm up, relax, sleep, and share fellowship between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.
