GuestWork as little as one evening per week! Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary seeks to hire 1-2 people to provide tech support for classes at the CUME campus in Roxbury. Individuals will be trained by Technology Services staff on the Zoom Rooms classrooms and equipment troubleshooting.
Fall 2025 tech support needed for the following classes held at 90 Warren St. in Roxbury:
– Pastoral Care in the Urban Church with Carlot Celestin – Tuesdays 6-9pm
– Interpreting the New Testament with Aida Spencer – Wednesdays 6-9pm
– Interpreting the Old Testament with Quonekuia Day – Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm
– Church & Community: Introduction to the Public Ministry of the Church with Annette Wright – Saturdays 9/27, 10/25, 11/22
– Exegesis in Judges with Quonekuia Day – Friday/Saturday 10/3-4, 10/31-11/1, 12/5-6Class support shifts will be shared between newly hired individual(s) and GCTS Technology Services staff. The typical week will include 1-2 support shifts on a weekday approximately 5:00-9:00pm or Saturday approximately 8:00am-2:00pm (4-10 hours per week). Your availability will set the schedule. Technicians may either remain in the room throughout the class session (especially if you’re interested in the content!) or be available for support as needed from an adjacent office space.
Qualified applicants may be hired as ‘casual labor’ and qualify to earn up to $3,000 per calendar year. The ‘casual labor’ status and payment limit will not apply if your business services may be invoiced via accounts payable.
Works shifts are available as soon as the second week of September. Shift will only be available while classes are in session.
