Should the church get involved with “political” issues? Many church leaders would say we should stay out of these discussions in our Sunday morning services or classes during the week. However, our laws are based on morality. Wouldn’t you want a Biblical morality as the foundation for laws as opposed to the morality of man? In the interest of educating the church on issues from the Biblical definition of marriage to abortion to the Bathroom Bill, Massachusetts Family Institute (a local affiliate of Focus on the Family) has produced a book/curriculum called “Engage the Bay State.” This book explains the laws that are being passed at our State House and curriculum being taught in our public schools that are a direct threat to Biblical family values. We are looking for people to teach this at their church in a small group or Sunday School environment. Would you consider being a teacher?
