Hi there, we are looking for a new housemate for May 1st or June 1st. Here is some info about our place:
A Little About Us: We are an intentional Christian community that has been in Jamaica Plain since 2003. We have four townhouses side by side that are connected by a large back deck. Most of community life happens inside individual house units, but we gather together as a whole community for a meal once a month.
House Details: $780 for a room, plus $70 in utilities (includes wi-fi, gas, water and electric. First and last month rent and utilities required.). A 3 story, 6-bedroom townhouse in JP. Shared: huge living room, office space/den, eat-in kitchen w/ 2 fridges, basement with free laundry & storage, 2.5 baths, bike shed, shared vegetable garden & compost and a large back deck.
Housemate Details: 1 married couple (With two kids), both work for a Christian non-profit (Elijah in Communications, Stacie in Research), a single male in his 20’s working in the tech field, and a single professional woman in her 30s working in healthcare. Among many other things, we enjoy dance parties, early 90s hip-hop, traveling, watching and playing sports, movies & game nights, pranks, lively discussion, playing music, reading, gardening & composting, and making and eating good food. We try to create a house environment that prioritizes creating safe spaces for communication, social justice, hospitality and generosity. We currently have one open room.
Neighborhood Details: Located right on Green Street in JP, a 2 min. walk to the orange line Green Street stop, restaurants and stores on Center Street. Right next to the Southwest Corridor bike path, Jamaica Pond, Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park.

My name is Tori Hile. My husband and I will be moving out to the Boston area the first weekend of July. My husband will be attending Harvard Divinity School in the fall and I will be working at Gordon College. Since my husband will be in school full-time, we are currently on the search for a cheap apartment in the area. We’d love to hear more information about this living space!
