Emmanuel Music presents Bach: “St. Matthew Passion”
March 31, 2017 from 7:30 pm - April 2, 2017 from 5:30 pm
On Friday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 2 at 3 p.m. Emmanuel Music will present Bach’s premiere Passion, the St. Matthew Passion, with the Orchestra and Chorus of Emmanuel Music, Ryan Turner conducting. The concerts will take place at Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury Street in Boston. (Click on the links for complete information).
A pre-concert talk, Matthew Passion: Public Event, Private Reflection, with Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Harbison will take place at 6:15 p.m. on March 31. A pre-concert conversation, A Closer Connection to the St. Matthew Passion, with John Harbison and renowned Bach scholar Christoph Wolff will take place at 1:45 p.m on April 2.
