Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
Boston high school students are paid to study ancient Nubia and current black studies topics through the DuBois Nubian Junior Research Fellowship. City of Boston pays students to work 5 hours each day, Mon- Fri, July 10 – Aug 11. They meet in person at Harvard University Mon and Wed, online on Tue and Thur and go on fun field trips on Fridays. Guided by undergraduates and expert lecturers, students study, discuss and write about a variety of topics related to the African kingdom of Nubia and to life in the black community. In doing so they sharpen their academic skills, build a network of peers and role models and learn about important aspects of African American studies.
