A Christian Response to Radical Islam

Join Global Awareness Week guest speaker, Jim Tebbe, for an evening discussion on “A Christian Response to Radical Islam – a Case Study from Pakistan.”
Jim Tebbe was born in Pakistan, son of Presbyterian missionary parents. He has a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University, an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Modern Islamic Institutions (Near Eastern Studies) from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies focusing on scriptural issues in Christianity and Islam from St. John’s Nottingham/Open University in England.
Jim worked for 25 years with the international/non-denominational mission Interserve. With his family he served in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Jordan, and Cyprus. For the last 10 years of his time with Interserve he was their International Director. For eight years he served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where he was Vice President for Missions and Director of the 20,000-student missions convention, Urbana.
July 2010, Jim began working with Forman Christian College as President of the U.S.-based NGO, Friends of Forman Christian College. He took over as Rector of FCC in July 2012. He has published articles on a variety of subjects, including Islam, the Islamization of the higher educational system in Pakistan, Bible translation, Tentmaking, Missions Partnerships, and Business as Mission.
Jim currently lives with his wife, Beth, in Lahore, Pakistan, where—God willing and health permitting— they hope to continue providing leadership until 2020. Their four grown children are scattered in various places around the world.
