Being Prepared In the Time of COVID-19
December 5, 2020 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeDear Colleagues,
I pray that my email finds you, your family and your congregations well.
Ministry in the midst of COVID-19 has been challenging. We can’t control how this pandemic pans out, but we can control who speaks for us if we’re unable to speak for ourselves and we can make sure they know what matters most to us. “Being Prepared in the Time of COVID-19” is led by Bethel’s Planning Ahead ministry and will equip you to help your congregants prepare for these critical conversations during this difficult time.
We are pleased to offer a $200 honorarium to the first 15 churches that register their pastor and at least 3 additional ministers or congregants to attend.
- The pastor and the 3 ministers or congregants MUST ATTEND the event on either of 2 available dates.
- The available dates are Saturday, November 21, 2pm-4pm; OR Saturday, December 5, 10am-12pm.
- Everyone on your team does not need to attend the session on the same date. Individual participants can attend whichever date is most convenient for them. For example, you might choose to attend the November session, while the other 3 members of your team might prefer the December date.
- However, ALL 4 team participants MUST ATTEND one of the two sessions in order for your church to receive the $200 honorarium.
Over the past five years, Planning Ahead has prepared more than 200 members to talk about what matters most to them. If you get a chance to read the featured articles, you’ll see how much of a gift these conversations have been to our congregation, and to Ray and me as their pastors. We would like to support you to provide a similar ministry for your members. In January and February 2021, we will offer additional training for interested congregations. Seed funding will be available.
Please feel free to forward this information to other colleagues. I hope I’ll see you at one of our sessions. Thank you for your consideration.
Register for the December 5 session here.
Sincerely,
Gloria White-Hammond
