Jérémy GaudinGuest

Application Questions
1. Tell us a little about yourself. I am French christian (evangelical) boy, having an internship in nuclear reactors in MIT during 5 months in the US.
2. What are you passionate about? My aim in the future is to serve the Lord through my time and my money.
3. What kind of living situation are you looking for? Just have a roof to live under.
4. What does community mean to you? Speak to the theoretical ( i.e.: people who support one another) and the tangible (i.e.: sharing meals)
Christian Community means family in Christ. It means sharing things together and also sharing the tasks while living together.
5. Have you lived in community? w/ roommates? Describe your experience. If not, please share what your living situation(s) have been for the past 3-4 years.
Yes and no. Yes I lived 3 years in a boarding school and 2 other years in a collocation. But it was not christian. It was for students or schoolers.
6. Why are you interested in living here?
I just look at the possibilities to find a christian community to live during these 5 months. But I will also apply to other communities, because it is very hard to find accommodation as a visiting student.
7. Do you have any reservations and/or concerns about living in community? Please describe.
No. I like the contact with people, play board games and have true discussions.
8. Do you enjoy kids? How do you feel about living in a house with a 1 and 3 year old?
I have no kids but I enjoy kids. I have two little sisters, one of them 7 years younger than me. I feel good about that, I am not difficult to sleep.
9. Do you have any personal considerations that might make living in community difficult? Please explain.
Perhaps MIT is too far, I don’t know the exact address.
10. Are you currently involved in a local church? Please share why or why not.
Yes but not so much. Because I can not drive cars yet and I study in a nuclear center which is very in the countryside. But normally I am really involved in my local church in Lyon. And I asked people to bring me to not-so-far church when they can, in a city near where I work.
11. Briefly describe your faith journey.
I was born in an evangelical family with my father who was catholic earlier and my mother who was born in Saigon, Vietnam. They met near Lyon. After, in 2014, I personally decided during a christian camp to give my whole life to Christ. I recognized Christ as my king and savior.
12. What questions do you have for us?
Is MIT not so far ?
13. What questions should we have asked, but didn’t?
I don’t know.
