Pentecost Day of Prayer for New England

May 17 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

Join Christians from all over New England for a Vision New England Pentecost virtual day of prayer this Friday, May 17.

At Pentecost, we remember how God’s spirit filled Jesus’ disciples and empowered them to live and walk in the way of Jesus. Each hour of prayer will be led by different churches in every New England state. We’ll be praying as the Body of Christ, in unity, for New England and what God is doing, and might yet do, here.

There will be prayer happening for a 24-hour period, and UniteBoston’s hour is from 2:00 to 3:00pm on Friday May 17. Please join us for as long as you want and as often as you want!

PRAYER POINTS FOR NEW ENGLAND:

1. FRESH LOVE FOR GOD: Ask the Lord to help the church in New England fully love Him with our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Mark 12:30)

2. TRANSFORMED LIVES: Ask God to further transform our lives as we confess our sin and surrender to Him. (1 John 1:9, Romans 12:2)

3. UNDENIABLE UNITY: Ask God to help us be one – brought to complete unity – and that through our unity our region will see and come to know the love of God and Good News of Jesus. (John 17)

4. WORKERS FOR THE HARVEST: Ask the Lord to send out more workers into his harvest field to share the love of
Jesus through our words and deeds. Pray that our children, youth, young adults, middle-aged, retired and elderly would discern the calling of God upon their lives and step out in faith, boldness, and courage. (Matthew 9:38)

5. MANY TO MEET JESUS: Ask God to open the hearts of New Englanders to not only hear but respond to the Good
News. (Acts 16:14)

6. MULTIPLYING DISCIPLES: Ask God to freshly empower the church of New England to make disciples. (Matthew 28)

7. DOING JUSTICE: (Micah 6) Ask God to give each of us wisdom as we work to:
a. Include and help people impacted by disabiliƟes
b. Create ministry environments that support individuals and families impacted by mental health
c. Build bridges between one another as we foster racial reconciliaƟon and healing
d. Care for the most vulnerable

8. PRAY FOR ANOTHER: Consider praying through the names of churches and organizations here, as well as others that come to your mind.
