Job Description
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the power of Christian education
to transform lives. The primary responsibilities will be to strengthen the engagement of our
parents and to manage our donor database. This position will also work closely with the
Director of Development on an upcoming capital campaign. This person should have strong,
detail-oriented administrative skills, be equally adept at working with numbers and people, and
have a positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude.
This position works under the Director of Development, but will have some responsibilities
working with Admission and Marketing. The Development Team is responsible for engaging all
of our key constituents and raising funds to further the mission of the school. There is a large
amount of collaboration and exact responsibilities may evolve to best balance
priorities, workload, and strengths in the team.

Parent Relations
● Recruit Parent Association (PA) Officers and Class Parents.
● Work with PA Officers to set and achieve their goals.
● Help Class Parents coordinate activities (events at school, class get togethers, etc.).
● Work with the PA, Class Parents, and Parent Advocates to ensure a successful Parent
Campaign each year.
● Send weekly communications to the Marketing/Communications department to ensure
clear communication with parents through our weekly school newsletter.
● Produce monthly PA Newsletter along with PA Volunteer Coordinator.
● Attend monthly Parent Association meetings and collaborate on agenda.

● Attend weekly Parents in Prayer and coordinate Parents in Prayer emails and
communications for the weekly school newsletter.
● Partner with the Admission Department on the Back to School Social event with the
support of the Parent Association.
● Represent the Parent Association at New Parent Orientations in the spring and the New
Parent Dinner in the fall.
● Launch and coordinate the Friends and Ambassadors Network (FAN) Program with the
Admission and Marketing Departments. This program recruits a large number of parents
and friends of the school to participate in a word of mouth marketing campaign.
● Manage Peerpal on behalf of the Admission Parent. Peerpal is the portal we use to
connect interested families with our current families.
Development Services
● Manage donor database to ensure the integrity of our data. We use Raiser’s Edge, the
donor management module that is part of Blackbaud.
● Maintain synchronization between Raiser’s Edge and Core, Blackbaud’s education
management database.
● Oversee our consultant, who is responsible for:
○ Processing online donations.
○ Acknowledging donations, which include:
■ Producing and mailing out thank yous/receipts.
■ Assigning personal thank yous to Headmaster and Dir. of Development.
■ Producing a weekly list of new donors for personal follow up.
○ Sending out first time donor communications.
○ Working on database clean up projects and assisting with producing queries and
mailing lists as needed.

● Reconcile donations regularly with the Business Office.
● Fill in the gaps where needed, such as writing copy for monthly receipts, entering in
checks and stock gifts, cleaning up data, writing note cards to tribute gift honorees, and
following up with lapsed credit card information.
Campaign Support
● Assist in campaigns, events, and projects as needed.
● Produce mailing lists, with help from consultant as needed, for campaigns and events.
● It is anticipated that we will undergo a major capital campaign in the near future. Assist
with this campaign as needed, including:
○ Creating necessary communication pieces.
○ Event planning related to the capital campaign.
○ Assisting with stewardship duties
○ Keeping track of and following up with pledges.

 

Other
● Be available to attend Open Houses and School Fairs as needed.
● Serve as an advisor for a group of students.
Primary Skills:
● High EQ and ability to work with and manage people from diverse backgrounds
● High attention to detail and comfortable working with databases
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to think creatively and strategically, but still maintain a high attention to detail
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
● Maintain a positive attitude and be flexible in a fast-paced work environment that puts
team and mission above self
● Ability to give feedback graciously and receive feedback with humility
● Strong computer skills – Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Apps
● Knowledge of the following is helpful: Canva, Pixelmator, Constant Contact, Raiser’s
Edge/Blackbaud, OneCause, and GiveCampus
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree
● Enthusiasm for the school’s mission
● Willingness to make a thoughtful financial gift to the school each year (most employees
use payroll deduction)
● Willingness to sign the school’s statement of faith
Compensation
Compensation dependent on experience.
