Still Small Theatre has two shows in repertory (available year-round), and we’re holding auditions for new cast members so that we have a more diverse group and so that actors have more schedule flexibility. (We have a pool of actors trained so that people aren’t obligated to be available for every show date.)
The Diary of Perpetua is a 90-minute musical based on the prison diary of an early Christian martyr; How I Met Our Father is a 90-minute comedy based on people’s true stories of coming to faith. The company rehearses one Saturday every month (yes it’s OK to miss one here and there), and actors are paid a $50 stipend per performance.
Audition dates:
Saturday, November 17 — 8-9:30 pm
Sunday, November 18 — 4-6 pm
and
Saturday, December 29 — 3-5 pmEach show will have a week-long intensive rehearsal process (weeknights + a day-long Saturday rehearsal) in January so new cast members can get up to speed before joining the full cast at our monthly brush-up rehearsals. You may audition for one or both shows at these auditions; auditions for The Diary of Perpetua will include a singing audition. Sides for both shows will be sent out ahead of time to auditioners, and auditions will also include some theatre exercises.
For more information or to sign up for an audition slot, please e-mail stillsmalltheatre@gmail.com
