Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
This fall, UniteBoston is celebrating our anniversary of 11 years being in ministry! We want to invite you to our fifth annual fundraising party on Thursday October 21 from 7:30 to 9:00pm around the theme of “And Still We Rise.” We were inspired by Maya Angelou’s poem “Still I Rise” and chose this as our theme to recognize how people can overcome hardships through understanding their God-given dignity and the power of community. While the world is shaking, the Christian community in Boston is rising from much turmoil and hardship into greater connectedness and cohesion to discover the power that comes from the collective ecclesia.
You’re invited to gather virtually with the UniteBoston community near and far to hear personal stories that represent the heart of the theme. There is no cost to attend, but there will be an opportunity to give and partner with us in our bridge-building work.
“And Still We Rise” Art Contest!
As part of this event, we are also launching art contest, where local artists are invited to submit artistic reflections around the theme of “And Still We Rise,” such as a spoken word, art, dance, or song. We are offering $200 for first prize, and $100 for second prize, and the artists will have the opportunity to share their pieces at our virtual event. Submissions are due on Friday October 15 – Click here to submit your entry!
