Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
The Poor People’s Campaign (PPC) was originally organized by Martin Luther King Jr. and resulted in the Poor People’s March on Washington in 1968. Today, The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, continues the work of addressing the interconnected issues of poverty and racism.
The Poor People’s Campaign of Massachusetts invites you to join them in Washington DC for a historical Assembly and Moral March on June 29th, 2024. This will be an opportunity to hear stories from and mobilize poor and low-wage people to vote in 2024. This is intended to center these voices and support policies that work for everyone.
People can participate in this gathering by attending in-person in DC or via live-stream.
Buses will be leaving from Boston and across the state to travel to DC June 28th – 29th. Use the following links to RSVP or secure bus transportation.
This gathering will kick off four months of outreach to poor and low-wage infrequent voters. Volunteers are needed to support this work.
