Super excited to present this concert in Boston area for the first time!

Jazz Hymns/Liturgy project was started by Sam JC Lee, bassist, who is also Jazz music director at Citylife Presbyterian Church. One of the goals is to reflect God’s beauty and glory in both improvisational music and texts, also to combine well known hymns with contemporary Jazz in a setting that people can easily sing along or engage without musical integrity not being compromised. Sam has been performing this project at local churches, jazz clubs in East Coast area as well as providing clinics. Currently we are planning to record in studio and release this year.

This concert will present famous hymns, original compositions, and reflections on improvisations and theology, featuring Boston’s finest musicians:
