Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
Please join us on March 20 for an event with Dr. AnneMarie Mingo as she discusses her recently released and groundbreaking book Have You Got Good Religion? Black Women’s Faith, Courage, and Moral Leadership. It is the first book-length examination of the religious lives, influences, and theologies of women in the Civil Rights Movement since Rosetta Ross’s 2003 book Witnessing and Testifying. And it’s the first book-length treatment of the role of “everyday” women in the movement ever published. Mingo constructs a lived theology based on hours of interviews with women veterans of the movement. These conversations should be enlivening!
Dr. Mingo will deliver her first lecture at the Boston University School of Theology on March 20 at 1:30pm in STH 325. All are welcome to attend and there is no RSVP required.
Dr. Mingo will give her second presentation on March 20 at Union Church (485 Columbus Ave, Boston, MA 02118) from 6:00-8:00pm. Those who attend in person will be able to enjoy refreshments from 6-6:30 and get your book signed by Dr. Mingo after her presentation. There is also an online option for this session. So, registration is required. You can register for the evening event here.
