Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
The need for foster and adoptive parents is always urgent. Sadly, the realities of the current COVID19 health crisis make it likely that this need will only be greater in the days ahead. Research shows that increased stress and isolation can increase the likelihood that children will experience abuse or neglect within the home. As children eventually emerge from this isolation, an increase in children entering care may occur. The licensing and recruiting limitations due to current social restrictions are only adding to the challenge. MAPP classes are canceled. Recruitment efforts have become very restricted.
God invites us to join him in extending his love to our vulnerable neighbors, including children and families impacted by foster care. If you have ever thought about becoming a foster or adoptive parent now is a great time to consider taking the step! You will probably have questions and we have you covered!
Join us on April 23rd for a Virtual Foster Care and Adoption Information Meeting. You will hear from foster care and adoption specialists from DCF and MARE as well as current foster and adoptive families. You will also have the opportunity to ask your questions. This is the ultimate, no-obligation opportunity to learn more!
Email info@fosteringhope.org with any questions. We hope to see many of you there!
