Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
Dear Faith Leaders,
Boston Public Schools needs your help! We have immediate openings for positions that are critical to the success of our students. We know that your communities join us in the belief that Boston students are all our children and deserve our City’s very best.
There are open positions for bus monitors, cafeteria workers, and custodians. We know students cannot learn if they cannot safely get to school, if they are not able to access healthy and nutritious food, and if their learning environment does not reflect the high level of achievement we know they are all capable of reaching.
I invite you to join me and my team at a meeting on Wednesday, November 3 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The meeting will take place on Zoom and we will send you a calendar invitation. Please confirm your participation via the invitation.
We are currently working to streamline our hiring and on-boarding processes to make it easier for staff to apply and once hired be on-boarded quickly. Physical and digital flyers with links to job postings have been developed for you to share with your congregations. If the 100 faith communities in Boston each help recruit four staff members, we will meet our goal of filling upwards of 400 critical vacancies!
The Boston Public Schools Office of Recruitment, Cultivation, and Diversity will host recruitment fairs to support applicants with the application process and we will share those details with you as soon as they are scheduled.
I look forward to further developing this campaign with you and your congregations.
In partnership,
Brenda
