Come engage with Dr. David Gushee, a world renowned Christian ethicist and a leading voice on many of the most important contemporary ethical and justice issues related to religion in public life.

Saturday, September 28th 7:00 – 9:00 PM

Dr. Gushee will speak about his book, Defending Democracy from its Christian Enemies. He’ll discuss how many Christians have abandoned their commitments to democracy, embracing authoritarianism, and how Christians can renew their commitment to healthy democracy. Dr. Sarah Riccard-Swartz of Northeastern University will make comments after the talk, followed by an open question and response time. Free and open to the public .

David Gushee will be the guest preacher at Reservoir Church. David is an elder and mentor in the growing post evangelical movement – individuals and churches with history in the evangelical church, who are searching for more open, inclusive, and faithful expressions of faith in Jesus in contemporary life.
