Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
Jesus aCross the Border will be collecting cold weather gear and grocery store donations to put together care packages for those in need that we encounter on October 19th. We will start our event at St. Anthony’s Shrine on Arch St. with prayer and an orientation at 11am. We will then head to the Boston Common (near the Brewer Fountain) to distribute the cold weather gear and bagged lunches and most importantly connect with the homeless.
JATB’s goal is to provide comfort and support to those we encounter reminding them of their dignity as children of God and tending to their needs with provisions to keep them warm and fed, but most importantly with prayer and actively listening to those we encounter. We believe this is our mission as disciples and collaborating will help the young adult community have this opportunity to strengthen their faith journey with seeing Jesus in the poor.
