SUMMARY:Grace Can Lead us Home - Book Group
DESCRIPTION:Join us to read the insightful and challenging book – Grace Can Lead us Home. This book “shows us that\, from the margins\, Jesus has something to teach us all about grace – something that could change the landscape of homelessness entirely if we’re ready to hear it.” Together as we go through the book we will learn about the practical realties of homelessness\, the ways in which practitioners are meeting the challenge and how we can engage to make a difference. Our faith calls us to do justice and love mercy – let’s come together to learn more about how we can do this! You can get an audible or digital copy of the book on your own or we’ll send you a free paperback copy if you prefer. Meeting via Zoom starting 5/9!

SUMMARY:LOCAL PASTORS TO PRAY FOR THE BOSTON CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, January 31\, 2023\, at 8 AM\, “LIVE” on Boston Praise Radio & TV\, WBPG-LP 102.9 FM Radio and Boston Black News\, located at the Global Ministries Christian Church\, 670 Washington Street\, Dorchester\, MA. 02124\, a group of pastors and church leaders will gather to pray for the Boston City Councilors. \nThere is some hurt\, frustration and pain among some of the Boston City Councilors.  We would like to bring hope\, encouragement and healing into the lives of our city leaders by praying for them “LIVE” over the air. \nThe Boston City Councilors need to work through their differences. \nThe City of Boston needs political leaders who\, in 2023\, are willing to work out their differences and provide healthy leadership for their districts and the entire city. \nWe are not taking the side of any of the City Councilors.  We love\, respect and are willing to work with all of our councilors.  On Tuesday we are just going to pray that God would move over the hearts and lives of our elected leaders. \nThis broadcast will be “LIVE” and air on 39-different media platforms including: \nwww.bostonpraiseradio.tv \nwww.bostonblacknews.com \nwww.gmccboston.org \nwww.bostonpraiseradiotv.co \nWBPG-LP 102.9 FM Radio \nTwitter \nRoku-TV and Apple-TV \nFacebook Live \nApple Music and many more. \nWe want the City to see and hear us praying publicly. Maybe something a deeply spiritual will breakout in Boston.

SUMMARY:Documentary on the History of Racism in Boston
DESCRIPTION:As a new year begins\, many of us are making resolutions\, not the least of which include working toward racial healing\, justice\, and reconciliation in our communities. That said\, we can’t know how to nurture transformation more effectively until we better understand the history that shapes our racial climate today.\n\nYou can learn more about Boston’s racial history by watching the award-winning documentary\, A Reckoning in Boston\, on PBS on January 17th\, 2022 at 10 pm.\n\nThis documentary was birthed when a White film maker began documenting the journey of low-income\, adult students of color\, only to find that\, through this experience\, he was getting his own education. A collaboration was then formed between the filmmaker and two students of color to co-produce a film exploring the history of racism in Boston.
