SUMMARY:Position Opening: Children\, Youth\, and Family Pastor
DESCRIPTION:Bethel seeks an innovative and visionary full-time pastor who will oversee all aspects of the Children\, Youth\, & Family Ministries (CYFM). The ideal candidate will exercise initiative and sound judgment as one who can assess the current position of the ministry\, internal and external ministry resources\, and the needs of children and youth while delivering high-quality\, engaging\, and responsive programming. \nThe Children\, Youth\, & Family Pastor will serve as an inspiring preacher and teacher and as a vital bridge between the church\, children\, youth\, and families. This individual will provide pastoral direction for children and youth as they mature and develop their own relationships with Jesus Christ (i.e. becoming disciples of Christ). The ideal candidate will be expected to minister to parents/caregivers\, equipping them to support the spiritual\, emotional\, and physical development of their children. This position will require the balance of pastoral support with organizational and leadership skills. The Children\, Youth\, & Family Pastor must manage all aspects of programming\, including volunteers and other programmatic resources. The Children\, Youth\, & Family Pastor will work closely with a liaison from the Steward Board and a senior member of the ministerial staff to ensure that the ministry is successful and running financially sustainable programs that are regularly assessed for effectiveness and positioned for improvement and growth. \nInterested candidates should send a cover letter\, resume\, and list of references to the Children\, Youth\, & Family Pastor Search Committee at info@bethelboston.org.
