SUMMARY:Anti-trafficking Pastor's Brunch
DESCRIPTION:Please consider joining us for an Anti-trafficking Pastor’s Brunch. \nIn our time together we will hear from a survivor of the sex trade\, explore the statistics and facts around women being sexually exploited\, learn four different approaches to legalizing or decriminalizing prostitution\, and gain tools for responding as pastors/lay-leaders in the Church. \nWhile this pandemic has brought a lot of change and even some things to a permanent end\, trafficking is not one of those things. \nThroughout the pandemic\, women\, girls\, boys\, and men continued to be trafficked and exploited. Here is what is still true that was true 18 months ago: \n\nThe average age of entry into the sex trade is 12-years-old\n70% of women who work in the sex trade are girls who have aged out of the foster care system\n89% of women in prostitution would take a different job if they believed they had the proper support\nThe number #1 reason a woman leaves is with a trusting relationship showing her another way to live.\n\nPlease RSVP by October 4th at info@lovedbyrouteone.org \nor call 978-930-3136 for details.
