SUMMARY:PEER Servants Walk for Economic Empowerment
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we raise funds for our partners around the world so that they can provide microloans to hard working people\, empowering them to grow small businesses\, escape material poverty and become agents of transformation in their homes\, communities and churches. \nThis year the walk will start next to the PEER Servants  office at 591 North Avenue\, Wakefield\, MA 01880 (North Avenue & Willard Road).  Registration is at 9:30 am and the Walk begins at 10:00 am\, followed by a picnic\, games & great fellowship.

DESCRIPTION:Worship with musicians from around the world\nHear stories of our global family extending the kingdom of heaven to earth\nDiscover practical ways to use your skills to get involved\nEnjoy a reception afterwards with international snacks and desserts\n\nWhen we see global need\, most of us wonder how to respond. The desire of the materially poor of our world is not for a handout. Rather\, just like you and me\, they want to work to meet their needs. Often they only need someone to believe in them. \nPEER Servants partners with indigenous Christian micro-finance organizations in the developing world that believe in people and provide opportunities for them to live with hope and dignity. Through the provision of small loans\, business training and spiritual encouragement\, our brothers and sisters can establish small businesses and experience the joys of overcoming poverty\, taking care of their families and blessing their communities. \nPEER Servants seeks volunteers with a wide variety of skills to help strengthen our partnering organizations. What can a volunteer expect from the experience? We consistently see God adding meaning and fulfillment to the lives of our volunteers through their involvement with this exciting global community. \nInterested?
