SUMMARY:Interfaith Youth Initiative 2019 Summer Fellowship Program
DESCRIPTION:The IFYI Fellowship Program is an immersive leadership training experience for high schoolers (ages 15-19). We shape Fellows through interactive workshops on facilitation\, mentorship\, bridge-building\, dialogue\, service and social action. The program is designed specifically to teach communication\, conflict resolution and peace-making skills from the starting point of the Fellows’ own diverse ethnic\, cultural\, religious\, economic\, social and political backgrounds. Throughout the week\, Fellows will learn from one another and from program staff through community building activities\, workshops\, artistic expression\, field trips\, times for reflection\, and more! SUMMARY:Interfaith Youth Initiative 2019 Staff Mentorship Opportunity
DESCRIPTION:The IFYI Summer Fellowship Program is an intensive and immersive leadership training program designed to give graduate theological students practical experience working with high school-aged youth. Run at Brandeis University in Waltham\, MA\, July 31 – August 7\, 2019\, the weeklong program offers a $1000 stipend and consists of guiding high school Fellows through community building activities\, workshops\, artistic expression\, field trips\, service projects\, dialogue\, spiritual reflection\, and more!  Additional pre and post training is designed to amplify the Staff Mentor vocational experience and supplement their academic journey. We recruit from a broad range of graduate theological schools (and other like-minded programs) to offer direct professional experience grounded in the wisdom of faith traditions and value systems! We recruit for diversity among our high school fellows and strive to have the leadership staff in the program reflect that diversity as well. \nWe are accepting applications on a rolling deadline through May 1st.
