SUMMARY:Unveiling Patriarchy
DESCRIPTION:Pathways to Healing and Restoration for Women and Men. \nJoin us for this interactive\, experiential online course with Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI)\, specifically focused for Christian communities. This will be held through 7 weekly sessions on Wednesdays from January 18th to March 1st (11.00am – 2.00pm) \nDeveloped over 30 years and conducted with thousands of participants across six continents\, the GERI process applies principles of the Truth and Reconciliation process that was pioneered by Archbishop Desmond Tutu\, to begin a process of healing divisions across humanity. Our journey on this course will take us through the often-muted attitudes\, fears\, shame and brokenness of patriarchal society\, to reclaim and restore the mutual harmony\, respect and collaboration intended for men and women as God’s image bearers. \nLeaving behind our busy agendas\, we join together to create a safe non-judgmental space for attentive listening as we begin to unravel the truth of our gendered experiences. Gradually\, a deeper level of empathy and understanding unfolds to reveal tangible pathways to re-form and re-imagine gender relations that move toward forgiveness\, healing and the restoration of relationships. \nPlease join us as we embrace a new form of spiritual healing and reconciliation work that builds trust and compassionate communication through a skillful combination of interactive activities\, spiritual practice\, and transformative group process. \nFor more information\, visit www.grworld.org To register for the course\, email Michele Breene\, michelebreene@gmail.com \n\n\n
