DESCRIPTION:Does spirituality belong in the doctor’s office? \nThe majority of Americans report that stress and mental health challenges of the last two years have adversely affected their physical health. Can we treat the body without treating the mind? without treating the soul? Could secular medical science make room for the sacred? \nShould it? What of religions that limit medical treatment? \nCould spiritual distress be considered a clinical marker? \nHow does a Christian healthworker navigate this divide? \nJoin a conversation with Drs. Tracy and Michael Balboni whose study and profession center on the questions of spirituality and medicine science. They will present viewpoints from previous generations of medicine\, from current scientific and clinical data\, and from theological perspectives; and discuss whether these disciplines can or should serve together for better outcomes.

DESCRIPTION:If you are a student\, trainee or professional in healthcare or medical research then join others like you from the Boston area and beyond at Toah Nipi Retreat Center (Rindge\, NH) from Friday\, February 16th to Sunday\, February 18th (Weekend of President’s Day). \nThis year’s theme is Fishers of Men: Developing Discipleship in our Daily Lives. We will be focusing on how to practice discipleship in our daily lives with the people around us and will leave the retreat equipped with practical tools to do so.
