Nurturing Relational Connections Across Boston's Christian Community
Good day. I am looking for reasonably secure, clean (even capacious/voluminous) storage space in the greater Boston area to store furniture that will be used for refugees who have and will be arriving in the area. All the more wonderful if such space could be donated/lent for a year or two!
For a bit of background and further details, read on:
I’ve recently begun working with the Greater Boston Refugee Ministry (part of the Emmanuel Gospel Center), and I am tasked with helping refugees find suitable temporary or longer-term living arrangements as they settle in or transition through Boston and Massachusetts. I’m also working to establish a refugee hospitality house in the Boston area (the search is now on for a suitable house-facility!).
Meanwhile, we’ve been getting donations of furniture and other household goods, furniture that we are either giving away now to refugees who are currently in need, or furniture that we’re storing for future use in the hospitality house. However, we have about run out of space for what has been donated thus far, and so are in need of more. If you have such space, or know anyone who might and would be willing to grant us use of it for a season (or if you are just curious about this effort and want to know more) give me a holler.
In Christ, the Preparer of Rooms,
