Hello,
My name is Deborah and I would be very interested in this part time position. I will be moving to Jamaica Plain mid June and starting a part-time job as a nanny. This position is for one year, but it is about 30 hours a week. I will begin seminary in the Fall at Gordon Conwell CUME. I plan on taking two courses for the Fall semester and two-three courses during the Spring semester.
I have worked in missions for the last two years. The first year was spent abroad through a program called The World Race. It was a discipleship based missions trip that took me to eleven countries in eleven months. I was the team leader for one of the all women teams and was responsible for communications with the host and state-side office, the facilitation of team meetings and feedback sessions, and often managed travel and logistical details for my team.
After this year abroad I took an internship at the state-side office in Gainesville, GA. I was considered a project management intern and mostly worked with the COO, assisting him in daily tasks as well as taking on multiple projects. While working with the COO, I learned to use and implement new systems, such as Wrike and Smartsheet, in order to improve office communication as well as the organization and oversight of various departments’ projects. I am quick to learn, well-organized, highly relational, and enjoy brainstorming solutions and creating better systems.
I am very interested in Emmanuel Gospel Center and would love an opportunity to be part of the work EGC is doing. Depending on the schedule of the director, I believe this part-time job would fit well with my schedule. It would also bring me great joy to be a small part of Route One’s anti-trafficking efforts.
