SUMMARY:Prophetic Leadership Principles
DESCRIPTION:Greater Boston\, this is a season for depth.\n\nSPL1000: Prophetic Principles is the gateway course of the School of Prophetic Leadership — designed for believers who sense a call to hear clearly\, discern biblically\, and lead with integrity. In a time when voices are loud and clarity is rare\, this course grounds you in Scripture\, spiritual formation\, and tested prophetic foundations.\n\nThis is not hype. This is formation.\n\nOver this journey\, you’ll explore how revelation\, interpretation\, and application work together. You’ll grow in discernment before declaration\, character before commissioning\, and structure before expansion. Whether you serve in church\, marketplace\, intercession\, or culture\, SPL1000 strengthens your spiritual depth and leadership maturity.\n\nIf you’re called to speak\, lead\, or build — but want to be rooted first — this is your next step.\n\nRegistration is open. Join us and build on foundations that last.

SUMMARY:The Imperfect Pastor: 2024 Gordon-Conwell Pastors' Conference
DESCRIPTION:About the Conference: \nLeaders in ministry are pressured to produce large\, famous things as fast as possible. But the things that matter most in the lives of those we serve require small\, mostly overlooked graces over a longer period of time. Pastoring and preaching are best when seen as acts of love and wonder hovering within the ordinary lives of particular people. But this means we also need wisdom. When competing cultural questions\, political voices\, and individual doubts rise\, it can feel more difficult to know which voices belong with Jesus\, and how to wisely help others hear his voice and biblically follow him. In these conversations\, Dr. Zack Eswine will spur you on to taste the goodness of wiser loves and skills for your life and ministry. \nSchedule: \n9:45-10:45 a.m. Plenary Session I: The Imperfect Preacher\n12:00-1:30 p.m. Dean’s Forum: Locating Jesus in our Political Moment (lunch included)\n1:45-3:00 p.m. Plenary Session II: The Imperfect Pastor

SUMMARY:by design Women's Leadership Retreat
DESCRIPTION:There are few things as exciting as an event that calls for a + ONE. Your expectations have been set. THIS will be an opportunity (and you can share it with someone!). On the flip side\, anxiousness can accompany that also.\nSo it is with leadership. Your expectations were set\, and now you’re living it. Some days you enthusiastically serve. You keep your passion for Jesus boiling hot. Some days you radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit.\nOther days … there are stress fractures\, and you’re dragging your exhausted tail to just muster enough love to give that one person a hug.\nIn both moments\, we need to invite a + ONE into our eventful day. Yes\, because every day is just that\, an event.\nIt’s a given … we need JESUS. But maybe there’s another (someone with skin on them) whom you should invite to keep your equilibrium\, clarity\, and fervor. We are not called to be independent\, but to be interdependent. Let’s be inspired to see that + ONE who is willing to hold space with us as we lead.\nLet’s learn TOGETHER\, to see our blind spots\, to recognize our need to receive from others\, and to identify when we can be that + ONE for someone else\, to ripple support and encouragement on another.\nWe will view dynamic Biblical pairs who found leading was better together.\nWhen: Friday\, April 21 at 7:00 PM through Sunday\, April 23 at 12:00 PM (Please note that all retreat times are in EST.) \nWhere: Immanuel Church | 301 Boston Rd. Chelmsford\, MA 01824 \nWho: All women who are actively serving in their churches or organizations; especially those women who minister to other women. \nWhat: Three general sessions with Ellen Garland\, six afternoon break-out sessions pertinent to life and ministry; free time to enjoy and meet new women\, plus much more! \nThe retreat will take place at the La Quinta in Andover\, MA. This will be a time to connect with sisters who have a heartbeat for Christ; it will be a time of encouragement and enrichment. \nOur time together will feature a variety of elements. Here are some highlights: \n\nMeaningful and inspirational worship\nSpecial guest speaker Ellen Garland will be speaking twice on Saturday and at Sunday’s general session.\nWe will also be having a special evening event with Ellen on Saturday that will be open to all women\, even those not attending the retreat!\nA relaxed time of fun to connect with old and new friends\nPersonal quiet time and prayer \nMinistry-relevant breakout sessions

SUMMARY:Leading Boldly in the Midst of a Community in Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Vision New England’s Women in Christian Leadership “Leading Well” forum\, featuring Rev. Gloria White-Hammond\, entitled “Leading Boldly in the Midst of a Community in Crisis.”\n \n\n\n\n\nHistorians often discuss watershed moments—critical turning points in history that fundamentally change how people think about and do life. The past 1 ½ years has been a quintessential watershed moment in which many communities have experienced multiple painful crises simultaneously. Just as God raised up and equipped Esther to respond to the crisis in her day\, God is calling today’s Christian women leaders to step up with conviction\, step out on faith and step forward with courage. \n \n\n\nRev. Gloria White-Hammond\, M.D. is co-pastor of Bethel AME Church in Boston and a pediatrician who long practiced at the South End Community Health Center. She also co-directs the Harvard Medical School and Harvard Divinity School course\, “Medicine and Spirituality in Healing.” Rev. Gloria is a longtime champion of health equity and publicly speaks about COVID-19 vaccination as a pastor and a physician\, especially in communities of color. Rev. Gloria’s innovative ministries include Do The Write Thing\, a creative writing mentoring ministry for high-risk adolescent girls; My Sister’s Keeper\,  www.mskeeper.org \, a humanitarian and human rights organization that champions social justice for women and girls in conflict zones; and Shatter the Silence\, a ministry that addresses sexual victimization in communities of faith.

SUMMARY:Leading Confidently In God’s Rescue Mission – Carolyn Custis James
DESCRIPTION:Vision New England – Women in Christian Leadership – Leading Well Forum Series \nIn our rapidly changing world\, women are learning how to draw from the attitudes and skills that are developed from our unique experiences as women. These distinct approaches to leadership achieve results\, but often in different ways. We invite Christian women in leadership on church staffs or in non-profits to join us online this year to explore what it means to lead well. This is a great opportunity to hear their voice and share yours…to listen\, ask questions\, and reflect with peers so that your own leadership is honed. \nOn September 24th hear from Carolyn Custis James in on free\, interactive zoom forum. God’s calling on His daughters is big. His plan from the beginning has been for his male and female image bearers together to reflect his heart for the world and look after things on his behalf. This is God’s call to leadership. Throughout scripture God often chooses the most unlikely people to advance his purposes for the world. Far too often human systems impede our ability to respond. How do we as women leaders confidently embrace our calling and encourage other women and girls to hear and step into their calling too? From her theological training and years of ministry experience\, Carolyn will challenge us to accept these divine assignments. \nCarolyn is an award winning author who thinks deeply about what it means to be a female follower of Jesus in a postmodern world. In 2013\, Christianity Today named her one of the 50 evangelical women to watch. She speaks regularly at church conferences\, colleges\, and for other Christian organizations both in the US and abroad and is a guest lecturer at various theological seminaries. Her speaking and writing ministry is dedicated to addressing the deeper needs and issues confronting both women and men as they endeavor to extend God’s kingdom together in a messy and complicated world. Her books include Malestrom:  Manhood Swept into the Currents of a Changing World and Half the Church: Recapturing God’s Global Vision for Women. \nTo register\, click here.
