SUMMARY:Prophetic Leadership Principles
DESCRIPTION:Greater Boston\, this is a season for depth.\n\nSPL1000: Prophetic Principles is the gateway course of the School of Prophetic Leadership — designed for believers who sense a call to hear clearly\, discern biblically\, and lead with integrity. In a time when voices are loud and clarity is rare\, this course grounds you in Scripture\, spiritual formation\, and tested prophetic foundations.\n\nThis is not hype. This is formation.\n\nOver this journey\, you’ll explore how revelation\, interpretation\, and application work together. You’ll grow in discernment before declaration\, character before commissioning\, and structure before expansion. Whether you serve in church\, marketplace\, intercession\, or culture\, SPL1000 strengthens your spiritual depth and leadership maturity.\n\nIf you’re called to speak\, lead\, or build — but want to be rooted first — this is your next step.\n\nRegistration is open. Join us and build on foundations that last.

SUMMARY:A Long Repentance discussion group
DESCRIPTION:This January – February 2022\, Mako Nagasawa will be leading a new cohort of discussions in A Long Repentance\, about how Christian heresies influence our American racial and political climate\, and what we can do about it!\nPeople talk about issues of race and justice in the United States as issues of ‘justice and injustice.’  Sometimes we launch into debates about ‘the proper role of government.’  But that is not the original framework from which these issues were asked and debated. \nThe purpose of our discussion groups in A Long Repentance: Exploring Christian Mistakes About Race\, Politics\, and Justice in the United States is to show how these issues began as Christian heresies.  Colonialism changed Christian beliefs and practices.  Since Christians enacted and institutionalized these practices\, we bear a unique responsibility for changing them.  We must continue to resist the very heresies that earlier Christians put into motion.  The journey is long and challenging.  It may be impossible to see the end.  But along the way\, it is also inspiring and sometimes breathtaking.

SUMMARY:Abiding in Beloved Community: The Cory Johnson Program through the Lens of Literary Imagination; a Talk by Rev. Liz Walker
DESCRIPTION:Join us as we look at our Cory Johnson Program for Post-Traumatic Healing (CJP) trauma work through the lens of literary imagination. Activists\, intellectuals and artists throughout contemporary history have eluded to the beloved community as a place and mindset of grace filled justice and reconciliation. Through the words of Dr. Martin Luther King and literary artists including the incomparable                  Tony Morrison\, Reverend Liz Walker presents a meditation on CJP as the model of that beloved community\, a groundbreaking antidote for these troubled times. \nThursday\, 1/16 at 6:00 pm; Roxbury Presbyterian Church Social Impact Center; 328 Warren Street; Roxbury\, MA

SUMMARY:Healers of the Line: Recognizing & Healing Inherited Trauma
DESCRIPTION: Healers of the Line: Recognizing & Healing Inherited Trauma \nTHURSDAY 5/9 at 6:00 PM starting with dinner; FREE and CHILD CARE PROVIDED \nCory Johnson Program for Post-Traumatic Healing \nWe now know that profound suffering can cause changes to genetic expression\, potentially leading to someone in a future generation experiencing the symptoms of a trauma (wound) they didn’t actually experience. Effectively\, we are connected across generations through our wounds. Moreover\, the consequences of the suffering we experience can cause ripple effects to those we live with and around\, including our communities. There is much to learn and understand about these inherited traumas (wounds)\, including how we can address them now and become ‘Healers of the Line’ so that they don’t continue forward into future generations.\nTHIS NIGHT WILL FOCUS ON  A WAY TO CONSIDER YOUR OWN ANCESTRAL HISTORY AND HOW TO WORK WITH A MODEL ADDRESSING INHERITED TRAUMA\nPresented by Colleen Sharka\, LMHC\, Director\, Cory Johnson Program for Post-Traumatic Healing.

The conference will close with a Healing Prayer Service.\n\nAbout Rabbi Nathan Joiner: \nRabbi Nathan and his wife Raina made Ruach Israel their home as newlyweds. After interning with the congregation\, completing rabbinical school and receiving Smicha\, Rabbi Nathan now serves Ruach Israel as Associate Rabbi. \nRabbi Nathan holds a BA in classical trumpet performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston\, MA. He completed his rabbinical studies at the Messianic Jewish Theological Institute (MJRC) (2007 — 2012) and was ordained by the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) and the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council (MJRC) in 2012. \nRabbi Nathan is co-founder and director of Camp Or L’Dor\, a Messianic Jewish summer youth camp. He also serves as a member of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council (MJRC) and as rabbinical advisor for the UMJC 20s\, the “20s Rabbi.” He speaks widely about Messianic Judaism in congregations\, at conferences and other venues around the United States. Rabbi Nathan and his wife Raina have five lively\, young children. \nRabbi Nathan speaks about his spiritual journey: \n“I went into music conservatory hoping to pursue a career in classical music. But God seemed to have different plans. While on a life-transforming journey along the Appalachian Trail\, I came to know and embrace Yeshua\, the Messiah. This shaping encounter brought me full circle\, eventually inspiring me to become a Messianic Jewish rabbi. Raina and I look back on our growing family over the years with nothing but a deep sense of gratitude for the tremendous blessings we share together. \nAsked about what inspires him about being a rabbi at Ruach Israel\, Rabbi Nathan says: \n“Ruach Israel is more than just a job\, it is family. From teaching\, to leading services\, to praying for and walking with our members through life’s joys and challenges – I love it all. I also count it a privilege to work every day with such a terrific leadership team of professionals and nonprofessionals at Ruach Israel. Yet even beyond the walls of our special congregation\, I am inspired to do my part to build a vibrant Messianic Jewish movement — a Judaism with Yeshua at its very heart. We are part of something much larger than ourselves\, and I believe that we are doing our small part to change the world.” \nAbout Mark Le Doux: \nMark is an accomplished international business executive with a 45 year history in successful business. He is also a spokesperson for his industry and is frequently called to Washington DC to interface with Congress and regulatory agencies dealing with complex issues that are both domestic and international. He has operations in Switzerland\, California and Japan and is an elected leader in his community of Hollis\, New Hampshire as Chairman of the Selectman Board. \nHis passion is for helping others from all walks of life to come to grips with their destiny\, while encouraging and enabling them to overcome self-doubt and fears of inadequacy. He has spoken to thousands on four continents about his passion for health and life choices while reminding people that all we have comes from G-d’s providence. \nHearing from the Ruach HaKodesh through years of practical ministry in the marketplace all around the world\, Mark has enjoyed seeing the sick be healed\, broken-hearts mended\, and people be delivered from self-doubt with a particular emphasis on bringing liberty to men and calling them into their G-d ordained roles in life. \nAbout Julie Lavender Le Doux: \nAs an overcomer of disabling performance anxiety who is now a working performer and broadcaster\, artist\, composer and vocalist\, Julie Lavender\, has a passion to help others beat paralyzing fear to take center stage in their own stories. \nPerformance and social anxieties\, in all of their many manifestations\, squelch the voices of people in ways that go far beyond what is traditionally referred to as “stage fright.” Julie’s work also goes far beyond traditional behavioral modification techniques\, therapies\, meditations\, brain training methods and drugs that are employed to deal with social anxieties and phobias. She offers a multi-dimensional approach to help people overcome the power of fear’s icy tentacles and release their silenced voices\, undermined talents\, minimized expressions\, and buried capacities for connection and success.
