Here is a packet with the opportunity profile for our worship leader position at Grace Chapel in Lexington. \nAbout the Role \nGrace Chapel is looking for an experienced\, full-time Contemporary Worship Leader to join our staff team at the Lexington Campus. In this role you will lead with skill and wisdom to help craft engaging\, excellent and God-honoring in-person and digital/online worship experiences that proclaim the uncompromised message of the Gospel. You must care that people understand why we worship and not just how we worship. This role will report directly to the Lexington Campus Pastor and indirectly to Grace Chapel’s Pastor of Worship Ministry. \nMeet Grace Chapel \nGrace Chapel is a non-denominational\, multicultural church that welcomes everyone\, no matter what your faith background or where you are on your spiritual journey. Our mission is simple – discovering life with God for the good of the world. We are fully committed and passionate about helping people find and follow Jesus. \nWe’ve been around for quite a while – since 1948 in fact\, when four families in Lexington\, Massachusetts met weekly in a home for a time of worship\, Bible study\, and prayer. These families had a heart and vision for reaching and serving people in the growing western suburbs of Boston. Since we incorporated in 1956\, we’ve grown from a few dozen people in a rented space in Lexington to 4\,000 people coming together for Sunday services and midweek programs in-person across five campuses (Lexington\, Wilmington\, Watertown\, East Lexington\, and Foxboro) and online. Our worship services are casual\, innovative\, contemporary\, and upbeat and we offer great Sunday morning programs for kids and teens at all our locations. Create an experience that connects with a younger generation and multi-cultural congregation\, promotes authentic worship\, and proclaims the uncompromised message of the Gospel. \n-Deliver high-quality worship teams on the platform and provide opportunities for new people to grow and develop. Effectively lead and prepare musicians at rehearsals. \n-Work closely with the technical and production teams as well as the Lexington campus’ Classic Worship Leader and the Worship Leaders at all campuses. \n-Implement a solid leadership structure at the campus by recruiting\, training\, and developing worship team members\, inspiring them to create\, and nurture their gifts. \n-Build worship sets\, and help with creative elements\, and video moments that add to the communication of the services. \n-Provide organizational leadership and accountability for the campus worship ministry\, including planning\, budgeting etc. \n-Continue to grow in your relationship with Jesus and bring that to the worship ministry and platform. \n-Participate in the staff life\, responsibilities\, and activities of Grace Chapel as available. \n-Fully support Grace Chapel’s mission\, vision\, and values: https://www.grace.org/about-us/church-overview/ \nWhat You Bring: \nMusically –  You have a quality singing voice and an engaging stage presence and you are highly skilled on at least one musical instrument. You are a team-builder and are extremely organized. You relentlessly recruit and develop talented volunteer musicians to serve the congregation with excellence and humility. \nPeople Skills – You must be relational and have a heart for leading people in worship and not just leading a worship service. You create authentic community where individuals in your ministry are loved\, encouraged\, and supported. You see the importance of building and engaging diverse worship teams and a growing multi-cultural congregation. \nInspirational – With a strong platform presence\, you model and lead heartfelt worship in an invitational style that draws people in\, encourages participation\, and points people to Jesus. \nExcellence – You strive for quality and always bring your finest for the glory of God. You are constantly growing and looking for freshness. You encourage others to be constantly developing their gifts and trying new things and new ideas. \nTechnology – You have experience using technology in worship – lighting\, worship software\, sound systems\, video projection\, etc. You have experience recording audio and video tracks from your home. You can incorporate new technology and other art forms as needed. \nEducation & Experience \nYou must have demonstrated experience planning\, preparing\, and leading contemporary worship services. You must be gifted vocally and highly proficient on at least one musical instrument. You are skilled in vocal and instrumental direction. Formal music training and an ability to write and arrange music is preferable. \n Personal Characteristics: \n-A growing relationship with Jesus Christ. \n-Energetic and enthusiastic with a strong desire to be part of a local church ministry team. \n-Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n-Able to organize\, pay close attention to details\, and work effectively as part of a team. \n-Proactive\, flexible\, and able to adapt to last-minute developments typical of church ministry. \nWhat We Offer \nSalaries at Grace Chapel are competitive for churches in this area.
