DESCRIPTION:Hi everyone\,\n\nIn two weeks we are celebrating Christmas\, and Faith Lutheran Church in Cambridge will once again hold our annual Christmas service in German!\n\nSince our own building sadly burned down a year and a half ago we cannot worship there yet\, but one of our sister congregations\, the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Woburn\, generously offered us their building this year\, so we will meet at 60 Forest Park Road in Woburn\, MA\, at 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve for our family service in German.\n\nYou are all invited to celebrate this service with us\, and please also invite anyone you know who is from the German-speaking parts of the world\, would like to practice their German\, or is simply interested in German-language traditions! This year\, BAA is partnering with Roxbury Community College to put on the production at their Media Arts Center. \nBoston Arts Academy vocalists\, instrumentalists\, dancers\, actors\, filmmakers\, fashion designers\, and visual artists will celebrate Aretha Franklin’s impact on R&B and Gospel music as well as her social activism. SUMMARY:Sing gospel with Mystic Chorale this winter!
DESCRIPTION:Experience the power of singing gospel music with more than 250 others as part of the Arlington-based Mystic Chorale\, led by award-winning director and composer\, Jonathan Singleton.  Mystic Chorale is a non-audition\, non-profit\, volunteer-run community chorus. The ability to read music\, while helpful\, is not required.  Its motto is\, “We welcome all who love to sing!” \nThis season the chorus will sing a diverse mix of spirituals\, traditional and contemporary gospel\, all united by themes of love and hope. The concert program will feature gospel classics like Dottie Peoples’ He’s an On-Time God; Rain on Us by John P. Kee; Marvelous; as well as Mystic Gospel favorites Holy Ground and Swing Low Sweet Chariot! \nMystic will be joined by fabulous guest artist Athene Wilson\, an award-winning jazz\, gospel and R&B vocalist whose singing career began at the tender age of seven in a small Pentecostal church in Jamaica.
