The unspoken expectations we attach to our help\, the moments when our instinct to fix things gets ahead of what someone is asking for\, how our own cultural lens can shape — and sometimes distort — how we show up. \nUniteBoston is partnering with Sarah Blumenshine\, Director of Intercultural Ministries at the Emmanuel Gospel Center\, to offer a zoom training where we can all take an honest\, non-judgmental look at the mindsets that can quietly undermine the very relationships we’re hoping to build. DESCRIPTION:Typically\, a semi-truck bringing food into Boston isn’t a reason to gather\, but there’s a special truckload of food being brought in on Friday\, April 10th\, at 9:00am.  A tractor-trailer full of non-perishable food will arrive at WORK Inc. (25 Beach Street\, Dorchester) as a large-scale donation to the Mary Ann Brett Food Pantry\, as part of Boston and the Bay State’s America250 commemoration. \nWe’d love you to join us in greeting the first of 3 America250 trucks coming to Massachusetts in 2026.  These specially designated America250 semi-trucks\, organized via JustServe.org\, by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints\, are a celebration of our nation’s 250th birthday and our national and local values of serving our communities.  Please stop by WORK Inc.’s facility at 25 Beach Street on the morning of April 10th and join us in celebrating community service in Boston!
