SUMMARY:Are you ready for a weekend of service\, learning and justice engagement?
DESCRIPTION:Boston Faith & Justice Network unites Christians to live simply and give generously in pursuit of a just world. Our work is grounded in three core principles: pursuing justice\, practicing economic discipleship\, and engaging in community. \nOur Micah 6:8 Program connects participants with social justice leaders in a process of sustained transformation. Rooted in compassion and Christ’s call for justice\, the program offers a rich\, hands-on experience which includes: \nContextual Serving: Volunteer with partner organizations serving those affected by homelessness. \nTransformational Learning: Explore biblical principles of justice and generosity while gaining practical insight into local justice efforts. \nSpiritual Equipping: Reflect through worship\, prayer\, and community to support lasting change and commitment. \nOngoing Engagement: After the program\, receive curated follow-up resources—stories\, devotionals\, activities\, and more—to continue the journey of justice. \nThis weekend experience is for adults (18+) and focuses specifically on housing justice and homelessness. Participants will work with local organizations like Rosie’s Place\, Miracle Mile\, and shelters\, while also engaging deeply with the broader context of justice work. \nCost: $120 (includes meals\, t-shirt\, supplies\, and staff support). Please contact elizabeth@bostonfaithjustice.org if cost is a concern. \nFull attendance is required. \n???? Dates: August 22\, 2025\, 6:30 PM – August 24\, 2025\, 7:00 PM\n???? Location: 146 E Main St\, Hopkinton\, MA 01748\n???? Register here.

SUMMARY:The Bible Women's Project
DESCRIPTION:This play is not for everyone. It’s for those who have grown up in faith-based communities and wondered whether God ever saw them. It’s for those who have struggled with how the church presented their gendered role in society. It’s for those who are seeking a moment of pause and reflection amid the chaos of life. \nThis play is a reckoning of faith and silence using women’s true stories to fill the gap between both. It is an act of justice in the name of women who were misunderstood\, misinterpreted\, never talked about\, twisted for the sake of someone else’s narrative. We tell their stories — honestly\, rawly\, creatively\, humorously\, poignantly. It is an act of truth-telling in the name of women today who do not get heard or believed or whose own stories have been twisted. We bring the ancient and modern voices to life and show they are not that different from one another. It is an act of faith that asks our actors and audiences to trust that God is behind this work and because that’s true\, what is He asking us to do differently with our storytelling and listening?
