DESCRIPTION:The Micah Conference is an annual 4 day student-led conference for youth and educators to explore the Christian integration of faith\, leadership\, and social justice. The goal of our conference is to help raise up the next generation of youth to be not only knowledgeable of social injustice issues\, but also to be equipped to recognize them and work towards social justice in a restorative manner. Boston Trinity Academy runs a resource center named The Trinity Institute for Leadership and Social Justice with the goal of inspiring students to take leadership and to fight for social justice both locally and around the world. We have been empowered as students to recognize the part that we can play in combating injustice. The Micah Conference\, now in its sixth year\, is our way of sharing this passion with other students around the nation by inviting them to learn and to contribute in the journey towards leadership and social justice. This conference acts on the instructions found in Micah 6:8 – “He has shown you\, O mortal\, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”   \nOur conference features a variety of workshops\, facilitated discussions\, keynote addresses\, and even a day of hands-on work and learning opportunities in the city\, partnering with local justice-focused organizations. The conference will run for two full days\, with a half day on either end.  Tuesday June 26th\, will feature a variety of workshops\, facilitated discussions\, and keynote addresses. On Wednesday June 27th\, we will spend the majority of the day in Boston\, partnering with local justice-focused organizations before a debrief and an evening session. Our desire for the youth who attend our conference is that they are inspired by the devoted lives of our speakers and challenged to reach their potential as leaders in their communities. We are asking speakers to share the story of their fight against injustice\, specifically as people of faith. \n

SUMMARY:Angelica Wilshire Book Reading and Acoustic Session
DESCRIPTION:Join Boston native\, singer-songwriter and new author\, Angelica Wilshire in a reading from her debut devotional “Between You & I – 28 Days With Jesus”\, a devotional based on Scripture\, Prayer and original songs from two music projects that she has written.  The reading will include an acoustic session of some of the related songs.  Light Refreshments will be available and an opportunity to purchase the devotional and related music.   A portion of proceeds from book/cd sales will go to a ministry called Starlight which focuses on ministering to those affected by/ experiencing homelessness in Greater Boston.  Starlight will be present also to share briefly on their ministry.  \nParking is available in lot behind the library and also onstreet. \nIf planning to attend\, please rsvp\, via facebook at :  https://www.facebook.com/events/644550002569566/ \nor via email at: awilshiremusic@gmail.com \n

SUMMARY:Northfield Student Conference
DESCRIPTION:In 1886\, 251 young men gathered for the first Northfield Student Conference. At the end of the conference\, God had supernaturally broken in. 100 of the students committed themselves to world missions and what became known as the Student Volunteer Missions Movement was born. In a generation\, this movement sent 20\,000 missionaries overseas. Their watchword\, “the evangelization of the world in this generation”\, was a cry to fulfill the Great Commission in their lifetimes. \nJoin us for 5 days of encountering Jesus and being moved by His heart for the lost on your campus and the nations of the earth. We want to create space\, away from the busyness of life\, to meet with God and discover your God-given passions and how you can use them for His glory! \nOur time together will be full of corporate worship\, teaching\, ministry\, small groups\, food\, and fun!
