SUMMARY:Gordon Conwell's East Asian Christianity Conference
DESCRIPTION:In recent decades\, Christianity has witnessed meaningful expansion across East Asia\, thoughtfully navigating persecution\, cultural integration\, and interreligious dialogue. The East Asian Christianity Conference aims to harness these experiences\, offering a platform for comparative research and practical application in church ministry and mission. \nThrough this collaborative endeavor\, prominent scholars from the East and West\, church leaders\, and front-line missionaries along with students and faculty from the Boston Theological Interreligious Consortium (BTI)\, will engage in critical discussions about Christianity’s place and promise in East Asia. The reimagination of Christian outreach and leadership will be informed by both academic research and practical ministry experiences. The conference will also include times of corporate worship and prayer. \nThe Gordon-Conwell East Asian Christianity Conference is sponsored by the Dao Feng & Angela Foundation and is pleased to partner with BTI\, IMEC\, and the Orlando Costas Consultation.

Bolling Building. This is an evening of celebration with food\, fun\, and an opportunity to partner with us in our bridge-building work. \nOur team has chosen the theme of “fortify” for this season of UniteBoston\, as it is a pivotal moment for Christians to fortify the foundation that we are standing on. At UniteBoston\, we are working to equip Christians to be peacemakers and bridge-builders—agents of unity\, reconciliation\, justice\, and repair in a fractured world. These aren’t just lofty ideals but actionable values that should shape the way Christians engage with one another and everyone they meet. Through intentional convening and discipleship\, we are nurturing a “beloved community” where Christ’s love can overcome even the most entrenched divides. \nThis year’s event will feature a special keynote address by Rev. Michelle Sanchez\, author of Color-Courageous Discipleship and Beloved Community. Rev. SUMMARY:Good Friday Worship Service- 7 Last Words of Christ Jesus
DESCRIPTION:The seven last words of Jesus Christ\, recorded in the Gospels\, are significant in our Christian tradition. They provide a profound opportunity for reflection and understanding\, particularly during the Lenten season and on Good Friday. Many view these words as a fulfillment of messianic prophecies and a demonstration of Jesus’s mission to save us from our sins. \nWe invite you to the Good Friday Worship Service\, The Seven Last Words of Christ Jesus\, hosted by BMATenpoint on Friday April 18 from 12pm to 3pm at St John Missionary Baptist Church. The preaching promises to be both powerful and inspiring! \n\nAlso\, we invite you to take time to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and to celebrate His glorious triumph over sin and death with our digital Holy Week Devotional. \nTo access the devotional\, simply click here and scroll down (it can also be accessed here).  We hope these thoughtful writings\, created by the clergy leaders of BMA TenPoint\, will help you draw closer to Him during this meaningful Easter season.

SUMMARY:Sanctuary is Sacred: Public Worship & Action for Immigration Justice
DESCRIPTION:This Good Friday\, April 18th at 4pm beginning at the Thomas O’Neill Federal Building downtown\, Christians and people of faith will gather in prayer and protest\, demanding protection for our immigrant neighbors and our communities. \nJesus’ birth was a story of migration and border-crossing. Jesus’ death was a confrontation with – and triumph over – the powers of empire and a radical\, loving act of solidarity with the oppressed. In remembering Jesus’ story during Holy Week\, we are called to be in solidarity with the crucified peoples of our present. This public worship and action calls on our state elected officials to protect our communities by passing the Dignity not Deportations Act and by getting ICE off of our streets and out of our churches. While this action will be rooted in the Christian tradition and practice of Stations of the Cross\, people of all or no faith backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to attend. \nRSVP here: https://tinyurl.com/GFSanctuary

SUMMARY:Jesus and Justice Sunday\, April 27\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:35 “For I was hungry and you gave me food\, I was thirsty and you gave me drink\, I was a stranger and you welcomed me\, 36 I was naked and you clothed me\, I was sick and you visited me\, I was in prison and you came to me.”  Matthew 25:35-36 \nJesus calls us to show the love of God to everyone\, especially to the most vulnerable of our society\, the ones He calls “the least of these.”  Because they are the most marginalized\, the most powerless\, and the most unseen among us\, they are often overlooked\, exploited\, and given blame for the difficulties of our society. \nOn April 27\, 2025\,  Jesus and Justice Sunday\, we are asking Clergy across greater Boston to do as Jesus commands and preach messages of Hope and Compassion\, Mercy and Justice for the members of our communities who are suffering and are being labeled as targets. \nWill you preach –from an Old or New Testament passage— a message of Biblical Social Justice for the least of these our brothers and sisters?  We hope so.  We hope that you will join us in fulfilling that Second and Great Commandment\, to love our neighbors as ourselves.

SUMMARY:National Day of Prayer - May 1\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a powerful day of prayer as believers come together across Boston to pray for our nation\, its leaders\, and every area of life. On Thursday\, May 1st\, we are offering two opportunities to join in prayer: \n\n\n9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Congregación León de Judá (20 Reed St\, Boston\, MA 02118) \n\n\n12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Church on the Hill (140 Bowdoin St\, Boston\, MA 02108)\, directly across from the State House. This unique location\, though not a Christian church\, has been generously opened for prayer by Michele Charles\, who regularly intercedes for our government here. \n\n\nThese prayer times are not about political agendas\, but about seeking God’s will for our government\, as Paul encourages us in 1 Timothy 2:1-2. We will pray for our leaders\, our police and first responders\, public schools\, families\, businesses\, and all areas of society. It is a time to come together\, giving thanks\, and asking for God’s guidance. \nWhy join us? There is great power in united prayer. On this day\, thousands—perhaps millions—of believers will be lifting up prayers for our nation. We encourage you to gather your church\, your community\, or even host your own prayer meeting to stand in agreement with believers around the country. \nMark your calendars\, invite others\, and come ready to pray for God’s will to be done.
