SUMMARY:common cathedral's 30th Anniversary of Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Join our friends at common cathedral as they celebrate 30 years of love\, faith\, and community in Boston! \nSince 1996\, Common Cathedral has walked alongside Boston’s unhoused and housing-insecure neighbors through a ministry rooted in mutuality\, trust\, spiritual presence\, and faithful relationship. Their street ministry meets people where they are—on sidewalks\, in parks\, libraries\, and other public spaces—building relationships that lead to deeper life and community. \nThe 30th Anniversary Celebration will take place Wednesday\, September 16\, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Emmanuel Church\, 15 Newbury Street in Boston. This milestone is both a celebration of three decades of ministry and an investment in the years ahead: funds raised through the anniversary celebration will be dedicated to sustaining common cathedral’s street ministry. \nCome celebrate 30 years of faithful presence\, loving community\, and ministry on the streets of Boston—and help strengthen this important work for the future. \nWednesday\, September 16 | 4–7 PMEmmanuel Church | 15 Newbury Street\, Boston \nLearn more\, RSVP\, or support HERE

SUMMARY:Join the Online Beloved Community Lab Cohort
DESCRIPTION:Monthly on Thursdays\, 10:00AM to 1:00PM | Starts October 1 | Application Due August 21 \n– Do you long for a depth of unity that honors our unique cultures\, backgrounds\, and experiences\, rather than ignoring them?-  \n– How do we follow Jesus’ call to love our neighbors – and our enemies – while holding fast to our deepest convictions? \n– Do you want to explore how our differences can strengthen our connections to one another instead of fracturing us apart?  \n– Do you long for the Church to be known for what we are for\, rather than what we are against?  \n– Do you desire to be an ambassador of reconciliation and grow in learning how to lead your community in the peacemaking\, reconciling Way of Jesus?    \n– Do you have a longing to see the Church get beyond our fractured witness? \nIf these questions stir up something inside you\, then the Beloved Community Lab might be for you! \n\nA New Kind of Leadership for a Divided Time \nDespite Jesus’ clear mandate for unity and welcoming all to the table\, churches remain some of the most divided institutions in our society. With over 45\,000 Christian denominations and countless divides over race\, gender\, theology\, and politics\, the Church’s fractured witness stands in stark contrast to Jesus’ prayer that we would be one (John 17). \nA team of diverse Christian leaders in Boston recognized this gap and came together to ask:\nWhat kind of discipleship is needed to form leaders who uphold God’s call for unity and oneness in today’s world? \nThrough prayer\, study\, and listening\, UniteBoston has been on a three-year journey of developing the Beloved Community Lab\, a unique opportunity for Christian leaders to come together across lines of difference to learn and practice unity\, justice\, and reconciliation in their leadership contexts. \nWe call this a “lab” because it combines core theological concepts with real-world application through case studies\, interactive exercises\, and spiritual practices. This cohort is a space for spiritual formation—shaping participants into peacemakers and reconcilers\, growing into the life and way of Jesus. Read the story and fruit emerging behind about our pilot cohort here and a reflection by cohort alum Dr. Michael James. \nIf we want to see a different kind of world and a more embodied Christian witness\, we must become different kinds of people. Our pilot Beloved Community Lab cohort is an experiment in Christian unity that seeks to change not just what we know\, but how we live. \n\nDetails  \nWHEN: Thursdays from 10:00AM to 1:00PM EST (Approx every three weeks) \nFORMAT: Zoom \nCOST: $600 to $1000 (Sliding scale) \nAPPLICATION DEADLINE: August 21\, 2026 \nWHO SHOULD APPLY:\nChristian leaders who value unity\, reconciliation\, and justice—and want to grow in living these out. We are seeking to convene a cohort community that come from a wide range of denominational\, theological\, racial/ethnic\, and generational backgrounds. This cohort in particular is designed for Christian leaders who are interested in bringing the Beloved Community Lab to their contexts and cities. \nClick here to see the Beloved Community Lab Cohort PDF to learn more about the vision\, dates\, core competencies\, and more. \n\nWe believe there’s no better time than now for Christ followers to prioritize the ministry of reconciliation by engaging well across our deep differences – serving as peacemakers in our fractured world. Today’s algorithms and silos will seek to keep us fractured and divided\, but God calls us to a different way.  \nSome of the most transformational moments in life happen when we journey with others. Are you ready to walk the uniting\, reconciling way of Jesus—with courage\, compassion\, and community? \nApply by August 21 to join the pilot cohort. \nLet’s grow together as peacemakers in a fractured world.

SUMMARY:National Eucharistic Pilgrimage in Boston
DESCRIPTION:In honor of America’s 250th year\, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will carry the theme One Nation Under God. One Nation Under God is not a slogan—it’s an invitation to realign our lives\, communities\, and country under the sovereignty of Christ. It’s a call to build unity through prayer\, and to let Jesus\, present in the Eucharist\, renew and heal the heart of our country\, one soul at a time. As pilgrims on this route\, we walk with Christ so that His love might draw our nation back to Him. You’re invited to join us\, in person or in spirit\, and offer prayers and sacrifices for the renewal of America. \nThe National Eucharistic Pilgrimage will pass through the Archdiocese of Boston from June 26th through June 28th with special events in Lexington\, Plymouth\, and along the Freedom Trail. SUMMARY:Kingdom Basketball League
DESCRIPTION:🏀 KINGDOM BASKETBALL LEAGUE (KBL) INVITATION 🏀 \nThe Boston Chapter of the K.I.N.G. Movement is excited to partner with the Salvation Army Kroc Center to launch the Kingdom Basketball League (KBL)—a Christ-centered basketball league designed to unite young men from churches across Greater Boston through fellowship\, friendly competition\, and community. \nOur mission is simple: to bring believers together outside of the traditional worship setting and create opportunities for meaningful relationships through the game of basketball. We believe that fellowship extends beyond the church walls\, and KBL provides a unique environment where young men can build friendships\, encourage one another in their faith\, and represent their local church while competing on the court. \nThis summer\, we invite your church to assemble its best five players and recruit a few young men from your neighborhood to join the team. Whether they are longtime church members or simply looking for a positive community\, KBL offers an opportunity to connect with other believers\, grow in brotherhood\, and enjoy competitive basketball in a Christ-centered atmosphere. \nJoin us on Sunday afternoons as churches from throughout Greater Boston come together for exciting games\, prayer\, fellowship\, and kingdom-minded connection. \nBring your game. Build relationships. Represent your church. Advance the Kingdom. \nFor more information about team registration\, league rules\, and schedules\, please contact us today. \nKingdom Basketball League (KBL)\nWhere Faith\, Fellowship\, and Competition Meet.

SUMMARY:UniteBoston’s Annual Fundraising Celebration & Community Gathering
DESCRIPTION:You are invited to UniteBoston’s Fundraising Celebration and Community Gathering on Friday\, May 29 from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at the Bruce C. Bolling Building in Roxbury. This will be an evening of celebration with food\, joy\, and an opportunity to partner with us in our bridge-building work across Greater Boston. \nOur theme this year is “Illuminate.” In a time when division and uncertainty can feel heavy\, we believe Christ calls us to shine (Mt 5:16)—bringing light to hard places\, clarity to confusion\, and hope to weary hearts. At UniteBoston\, we are committed to equipping Christians to be peacemakers and bridge-builders—agents of unity\, reconciliation\, justice\, and repair. Illuminate reflects our prayer that the Church would not hide its light but embody it boldly and beautifully for the good of our city. Here is our Fundraising Letter \nThis year’s keynote speaker is Rozella Haydée White\, a public theologian and “Love Big” coach. Dedicated to nurturing a love that is life-giving\, justice-seeking\, and restorative\, she has authored a book entitled Love Big: The Power of Revolutionary Relationships to Heal the World. \nRozella’s work deeply aligns with UniteBoston’s mission to heal divisions and strengthen the Church’s collective witness. Over the past year\, she has also played a vital role behind the scenes\, working directly with Rev. Kelly and Rev. Devlin as a coach for a capacity-building grant initiative. We are thrilled to have her voice guide us faithfully illuminating the gospel and bearing witness to Christ’s reconciling work in our beloved city. \n \nThe evening will also include a conversation with Rev. Kelly and Rev. Devlin\, stories of impact from our UniteBoston community\, and creative expressions that reflect the heart of this year’s theme\, including: \n\nConvene: The Power of Collaborative Conversations for City-Wide Gospel Movement by Rev. Melinda Priest\nTestimony about Beloved Community Lab by Rev. Gina Tillotson-Cordy\nPoems on “Illuminate” by Bill Ivanov and Dzidzor Azalgo\nClosing Song led by Rev.
